Hey Hey!
We’re continuing to bring the Bomb Bombshells with Aqua from Hollywood, Florida:

She says, “It’s difficult for me to describe my style in words;simply because it is my form of expression.”

“I do not write, sing or dance to express myself. Instead, I use my style.”

” With me a shirt is not just a shirt or a pair of pants is not just a pair of pants…”

” They each symbolize what I am feeling inside, almost like a puzzle…”

” Fashion is my outlet, it is my way of showing the world what’s really on my mind. “

“My Style can’t be defined in words, but through pictures my style tells a story.”

Alright! What story do you think Aqua’s clothes tell?

  1. Very pretty cool with a few hits and misses. Your weave game isn’t too bad, but you have issues with again like the last young lady, the fit of your clothing. many of styles are cute, but they get thrown off by a pair of high waisted pants where the zipper looks extra crazy or the shirt is tucked in all crazy. watch out for cheap shoes, sometimes they look l plasticy in pics.Don’t do pearls around the hands and neck, it’s too much. That outfit woud have been perfect without all of that. My favorite look is the pink dress and the red jacket outfit. Nice style, but needs to be tweaked a little. Good job!

  2. The bombshell is alright, nothing to write home about….a style I’ve seen many times before…BUT for eye sore sake please…no more bathroom trash showing in the background pics.

  3. She is way better compared to the last two. I’ve seen all her looks at the mall, but at least she aint tacky.

  4. @Blkrose

I see you’re being a little nice, you know her style is okay. It’s the last few people that have been posted that threw you off. lol!

  5. Ok but I’m just tiered of the same ol’ blazer looks. I would like to see someone with a little more versatility. Just basic.

  6. Rose- Don’t stereotype Southern women. I’m New Orleans born and bred, and one day proudly New Orleans dead, and I was boutique shopping on Magazine St when I was in diapers. So don’t try to play us all out, I couldn’t even tell you how to get to the mall in N.O., because I either shop online or locally. Women in N.O. had style when your neck of the woods was still scrub brush, so watch ya self.

  7. Some hits, some great misses. Just ok. Nothing special.

@ Blackrose: about the scarf around the neck when you are 50: this comment only shows you have ZERO style. It’s all in the way you tie your scarf. And also the style of the scarf (eg: a nice Hermes carre can really look chic but still young)

  8. I don’t normally blast people on the internet. But @ Rose, c’mon son! How dare you make a blanket statement that women from the South can’t dress?? Claire herself hails from Atlanta…I mean really. If I wasn’t such a sweet southern belle myself…I’d give you a little more! geez

  9. Here is the thing… This is another pretty girl who seems limited to the mall. Two looks could have worked for me. The Polka Dot shirt and shiny leggings and the white suit. With the Polka Dot Shirt look, I think a less chunky shoe would have been nicer. Also, the pants didn’t flatter her. The ring added nothing to that look either.. The white suit would have been nice if the collar was down, and if her hair was in a simple bun. I would’ve lost the scarf and went with a light blue clutch. I also would’ve done the nude shoes with that look. I appreciate that she reuses pieces. With her, I just she needs to learn here body and remember that sometimes less is more.

  10. No disrespect to the scarf at all! I just don’t like how it was used in the look. A scarf can do wonders, and has absolutely nothing to do with age.

  11. why dont people just say. i like clothes because the boost my confidence, theyre fun, and you can attract the right people with them?

whats with the same lines over and over: who i am, expression yakyakyakidiyak.

it makes people an easy target..

    i

  12. @ann

You showed you had 0 style when you went by what looks good on a hermes and not by the style of the outfit . You’re so limited by style you think it’s stylish because hermes does it. Please stop walking around being a carbon copy. Style isn’t about copying, you seem to be an expert at that honey. Followers are never stylish.

  13. @ nicole

do you? because I would love to see how you look. ITS CALLED FASHION BOMB DAILY! people submit their pics and we vote on them. It doesn’t take an expert to know that their are people out there who will either love or hate your style. I guess the voting pole and claire asking us what we think isn’t really there.

  14. Some of these comments go above and beyond. They seem so hateful rather than helpful. At any rate, Aqua, I think your overall style is cute and it fits you well. Loved your curly hair looks :)

  15. You guys crack me up.

lol @JS ” why dont people just say. i like clothes because the boost my confidence, theyre fun, and you can attract the right people with them?
whats with the same lines over and over: who i am, expression yakyakyakidiyak.it makes people an easy target..” I agree.

  16. She’s cute… most of her looks are cool. Nothing that makes me drop my jaw like I have done with some of the past bombshells. The thing to me about the her ‘fits are not what actually works but what didn’t and ill-fit can throw off everything else (blue pants). As for this @blkrose character… who died and made you the know it all fashion guru? I am from the south and many women have class, style and dominate the fashion game. One thing I can say about southern women they are not label whores and they come from a completely different angle with their style. BLKROSE why don’t you submit your pics? and let us be the judge since you seem to know what you are doing… Killin me!

  17. I think she is very cute, with a little more work she could be dope. But really @rose, that statement was completely unnecessary and I have a feeling that you already knew that but said it anyway. Word vomit isn’t attractive doll.

  18. I will give Miss Aqua a B for her overall outfits. I am a fan of the second pic (second outfit to the left). The blush/Light pink and floral pants was one of my favorites. I also liked the american apperal disco pants with the polka dot blouse but a different color shoe and stillito would of looked better. The nude boots made the outfit a little heavy.

  19. @BlkRose….Hun it was a merely simple question…from all the the remarks you made about this young lady fashion sense, I would ASSUME you had a blog and know what you are talking about to show the world what fashion really is (rolls eyes)….A simple yes or no could have did it for me…and I have no problem with people voting or commenting but what I do have a problem with is people telling how she should have wore her fits….No response is needed hun, I do not go tift for taft.

  20. @ BLKROSE…really??!! I normally do not post comments however that statement about Southern girls having no style is asinine and just plain ignorant. For you to use such a blanketed statement is ridiculous. Thanks to whoever pointed out the fact that Claire herself hails from Atlanta. (Just in case you did not know or you are not familiar with a little thing called a map….Atlanta is the South!!!) …and yet you are in her website inquiring about her style. (undoubtedly) Style is Style…It does not matter where you hail!!! It is simple…..either you have it or you don’t! I admire the confidence that it takes any young women or man for that matter to submit their pics. @BLKROSE why don’t you take a stab at it ….I for one can’t wait to see how this turns out for you;)

  21. @JS. I totally agree. I mean she says it’s so hard to describe her style, then goes on and on with the same canned response that everyone else uses. I always appreciate when the featured bombshells keep their style descriptions unpretentious.

  22. There is NO WAY to relate style to region. POINT. BLANK. PERIOD. There are people in fashion CAPITALS with no style. Let’s just stop it. #ImmatureBanter

  23. Are y’all seriously getting in your feelings about a blanket statement that Rose made about women from the south. No one ever defends us gals in the midwest when people say we can’t dress. It’s really not that serious.
And @Nicole, isn’t it “tit for tat” not “tift for taft”?

  24. @Sticky-n-Sweet pls stop. You know exactly where Lakeside and Oakwood are and could probably get there with your eyes closed… otherwise I dont see how you could say you were born and raised there. I get what the point you were trying to make but i hate when people go overboard to the point of lying and the comments that @BLKROSE made were the definition of ignorant and not even worthy of a response.

  25. She’s from my neck of the woods, so I won’t say much. I love the floral denim. For the most part, it seems that she went to Forever21 and American Apparel and tried to tie herself into it.

  26. @Britanny you commented just to say that huh? I wasnt speaking to you!….Typo Everyone: Tit for Tat…Thanks Brittany!….There are ways on commenting on ones’ sense of style without being cruel young lady, this isnt about everyone getting in their feelings, its about being respectful to one another!…I’m sure Ms. Aqua reads this blog and do not want to see people bashing her b/c she feels comfortable in her style!…No need to respond….

  27. OMG…..Ya’ll can’t we all just get ALONG? This is why I start shying away from black blogs! I love FBD but it seems like the SHADE is so great on here. This girl has her own style, and if it works for her, ya’ll have to go and be so critical. Ya’ll talking about the girls weave, telling her she wearing cheap shoes, arguing over scarves….It’s crazy I mean I get that we are suppose to comment but damn it’s like only a handful of actual positive comments! It doesn’t have to be everybodies style but gosh, the young lady probably didn’t think you all would examine her with a fine tooth comb! ……it’s kinda sad to see the back and forth!

By the way I’ve seen plenty of southern women with style!!

  28. Hey I’m from New Orleans and I can say that we definitely have style. Well at least the people I hang with. I do know where the mall is even if I don’t go there often. And I know where every thrift store is in 50 miles of the city. I believe everyone can have style. And trust I’ve travel and lived many places. Seem some good and some bed. The problem is that everyone tries so hard to look different or brand new some just look silly.

Anyway the fashion bomb has some cute outfits but either a shoe or accessories throws it off. The first pic could have been a great outfit with a different shoe. Not a big dan of the disco pants but if you have the body rock them hun. I hate the white suite and the scarf about the neck ages the outfit, it could have been better around her hair.

  29. @Nicole, Yep I commented JUST TO SAY THAT because when I saw it, I thought maybe it was the original form of the saying or something. That is all. Unlike you, I wasn’t trying to be sassy or 1-up anyone in the comments. I just like words and wondered.
2, It’s fine if you weren’t speaking to me, but this is a forum where your comments will be read by everyone.
Oh yeah and last, no need to respond. *rolling my eyes*

  30. @Michelle, I agree with you, but I just wanted to say that back and forth or shade as you called it isn’t just relegated to the black fashion blogs.

  31. Like you Brittany I was responding and said thank you for pointing that out…..But you said that after you went in on everyone for commenting to Blk Rose so needless to say I got offensive so with that being sad we can end this on that note darling…have a good day!

  32. I will say the weave and wig game is on it….I like how you were able to do different hair and it worked with the outfit.

  33. @Nicole, Yeah don’t try to back pedal now. I know sarcasm/”extra” when I see it.
    That is all.

  34. I really don’t know where Lakeside is…I know it exists, but I truly don’t know how to get there. My parents are hippies, so malls are anathema to them.

  35. The FB of the day is cute, not my particualr style but sometimes ya’ll are too hard on folks…. cough “blkrose” cough. I mean the white suit and scarf is a little stewardish but her hair in the last pic is really cute. Takes me back to Kelis circa Milkshake. That was favorite Kelis, next to “Bossy” Kelis of course!

OAN: This is totally off topic but I had no idea that they’re some many New Orleans people representing on here! @Sticky-N-Sweet, @ LivvyV, and @GirlBye, I’m from New Orleans and yes I know where Lakeside and Oakwood is but, I perfer to shop on Magazine and Maple streets and thrifting at Red White and Blue. So I was wondering, where ya’ll at?! Cuz all my fashionable friends have moved away and I usually have to go on my fashion adventures alone :(

  36. It takes a brave individual to submit to Fashion Bombshell of the Day knowing that people set out to bash you instead of constructively criticizing….let’s focus on lifting each other up instead of bringing each other down!! Stylish Girl Power!!

  37. @Brittany….what in the world would make you feel that I back pedal….I AM A BEAST PLEASE DONT GET IT TWISTED!!!…..I tried to end this on a decent note, please little girl just carry on with your lovely day and leave this alone, its not worth it….TRUST ME!!

  38. I love the outfit with the pink top and the floral pants. The entire look is perfect. The others are typical.

SN: Fashion Bombshells/Bombers please be more selective about the pics you send in. No over flowing trash cans or mess in the background, it just looks bad.

  39. I like it- you would stand out in a room. The looks are all casual but polished and each outfit looks unique.

  40. Wow!!! People are a trip! Now that I got out that way, Aqua you look BEAUTIFUL and I love the looks :) You did SOFLO proud. I love the name too- keep doing you.

  41. i think we sometimes forget these submissions are from everyday women so to say her style is ordinary or regular redundant. The point of FBD is to show case ordinary people and their style!
That being said I think she’s cute. I never knew it unfashionable to shop at the mall…I think clothes are still sold there no?

  42. I love the way she styled her AA leggings; it’s kind of 50’s greaser girl and kind of 70’s disco diva at the same time, brilliance!

The big coral blazer is gorgeous and I love her leopard booties in the last picture. Gorgeous.

  43. Who are these people who ALWAYS have something negative to say. I’m anxiously awaiting to see your outfits. Kudos to this young lady, I like your style. So much better than so many of these other fashionistas that are recognized throughout the week!

  44. A large percentage of southern girls can’t dress. End of story. You can go internet thug on me if you like, but the truth hurts. goodnight.

  45. @BlkRose
Very Pretty cool??? Your grammar is out of this world. I hope you did that on purpose, while you find yourself trying to give Aqua “fashion 101.”

  46. Her looks were cute but over all BASIC! I seen better and worse Fashion Bombs so i wont throw shade?! Im from FL so death to #Rose & that stupid comment! The only thing that bothered me was the messy back grounds?! She could have at least cropped them out & the the club pic?! Fail….lol

  47. I think she has a cute style and she seems to rock her looks with confidence, which is always a plus. Oh, and i’m with LawyerChic, when did everybody become allergic to the mall? I’m gonna need y’all to stop.

  48. lol. Y’all crack me up getting offended by these comments and letting them get to you. If you worry about how “offensive” and “uncalled for” the comments are, you’ll never get to completely enjoy the content on this awesome blog. Please stop getting in your feelings and just focus on the content.

That being said, I think Aqua is cute. Some misses but for the most part, she’s cute with a fun style.

  49. Lol. I will have to agree with blkrose. A majority of southern girls do not any fashion sense. Even just going by previous fashion bombshells of the day from the South. They have almost always been a mess especially Atl and New Orleans. Yuck!

  50. Guys I really love coming here to read the bombshell comments & if u keep acting like this Claire is gonna remove that option, don’t make it bad for everyone. Like I always say if u don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all. Love

  51. I agree some where hits and some missed me. She could’ve had better fits as everyone stated and used different accessories and shoes for some outfits. But!!!! NO ONE HAS THE PERFECT EVERYDAY!!!!! AND SOMEONE COULD BE JUDGING THE OUTFIT YOU THINK IS SO DOPE OR FASHIONABLE. THE RAW TRUTH IS GOOD BUT DO IT TASTEFULLY.

  52. This is comedy. Not one of the critiques are coming from anyone notable or even important in the fashion industry BUT Claire who obviously liked her looks. Take a hint and stop judging so harshly. Fashion Bombshell of the “Day” is simple and fun. We aren’t voting on huge stars who make a living from what they wear, we are voting on normal everyday people who may not have every designer in their closet but make an effort to look great with what they have. If you have something so negative to say send in your pics and let everyone judge you. Aqua you look great, it may not be the hottest looks or the greatest fit but you look great.

  53. Yall givin lil baby way too much! some of yall are so petty…SMH.
    cute girl, cute style…..

and she reppin FLA..so tis all!

  54. Yessss Aqua, obviously Florida girls know how to turn up the heat. You got em on here at each others necks. You cute boo keep doing whatever style fits you best ;)

  55. @Taylor, I’m not so sure if the bombshell being chosen to be featured necessarily means that Claire liked her looks. She seems pretty even handed and usually finds something to compliment about the featured person, but I don’t think that equals her liking their looks. To me it always seems like she just chooses from the submissions she gets of someone who seems to have enough content to be featured.
Also, you mention that these critiques aren’t coming from anyone noteable in the fashion industry. I think that is hogwash bc 1, you don’t know who is behind the computer screen. It’s highly unlikely, but you just never know. And more importantly 2, I don’t think you need to be an artist to have an opinion about art. That sentiment goes for everything else.
And @Nicole, I felt like you were backpedaling, but I’m not going to resort to name calling and what not because I think that is tacky and I’m not that type of person.

  56. Taylor I totally agree! You have a great point of view about that. Aqua I love the way you express yourself! The fact that you can get some of these girls so excited and angry about fashion says something in its own. Brittany you obviously don’t have anything better to do with your life you’re sad! Grow up and quit responding to everything. You’re embarassing yourself. WHOEVER you are. Haha.

  57. I like the concept of the outfits but like another reader posted I got dejavu while looking at the outfits. I have a plethora of fb friends that all have a variation of these same looks. For curvy girls with less options dejavu is kind of expected but I don’t understand smaller girls with more options that still manage to look so….carbon copy. Pretty girl, nice hair, style just needs to be tweaked.Btw I”m from the South…well dressed and I always feel overdressed when I go places or out of place so I can’t blame people for their opinion of the Southern dress code based on the pictures they see online.

  58. I think she looks cute…Everyone has so much to say but doesn’t have the nerve to do what she does. STOP HATING! Do your thang lil mama

  59. CONFIDENCE is everything! And to be comfortable enough to wear whatever you please whether someone has negative or positive feedback says a whole lot about your self esteem. So to Ms.Aqua YOU GO GIRL!!!! I think you look stunning whether your style is mall fashion boutique fashion or whatever LABELS AREN’T EVERYTHING

  60. you better go aqwa!!! one of best friends….everywhere people dree will never be the same! so apparently she is doing something right for her to be bombshell of the day….
