We’re ending this eventful week with Tarah-Lynn from New Jersey!
She says, “[I’m] the style blogger behind Adornedinarmor.com!”

Tarah-Lynn from New Jersey
” Yes, “adorned” as in Miguel’s “let my love adorn you”! (That’s what I have to sing when people misspell my site haha).”

” In actuality, my blog name derives from Ephesians 6:13 which basically states to adorn yourself with the armor of God to be able to fight off whatever comes at you.”

” I am a woman of faith that loves fashion and embraces my own personal style, so I figured that the name was fitting! My site “Adorned in Armor” recently got shortlisted in Cosmopolitan’s 2014 UK Blog Awards as their “Best International Fashion Blog w/ Independent Fashion Bloggers”!!!”

“It’s difficult for me to label my style simply because I’m not afraid to try anything and since it’s always changing. Slightly, yes, but still changing. I do have a love for chic pieces and mixing different prints and textures. My closet has a lot of color but I also love a great monochromatic white or black. My style is versatile and modest (yes, I cover up!).”

I love it all, though your green/yellow look is my fave!

  1. I’m really not feeling the new website. I think the last update was great. For things like blogs and new media sites, it’s great having posting listed in chronological article, most recent things first. For the user, it helps us “pick where we left off”. It’s also best practice to keep scrolling to a minimum, so the different headers for different types of posts…not user friendly. Unless analytics say otherwise, Fashion Bombshell of the Day is probably the most highly-trafficked feature on the site, so if the layout is here to stay…at least moving it up would be ideal. If anything, can that change?

    Anywho,

I love her first three looks! The last two…blah. I’m inspired to try that purple look–same color necklace. Maybe a different style shoe like a pointy or almond-toe nude pump.

The closure of the wig is distracting. Maybe a little more tweezing around the part. The closure can lay flatter too.

Beautiful girl! Great sense of color.

  2. Another recommendation for the site. Maybe you’ll have to require submissions to have higher-resolution and bigger photos for the sake of the header image, so they don’t look fuzzy like today’s.

  3. Can we please do another post on how to properly wear weave and wigs. I just can’t. She’s an ok dresser.

  4. I agree with everyone else regarding the site. I also find it difficult to navigate. It was very user friendly before and easier to read when in chronological order…my 2 cents

  5. She looks so sweet. I’m not blown away by her style, mostly because the hair in the first three is not quite right (that’s not shade – its an observation and hair does affect the overall look). She has tons of potential though, its just not *bombshell* yet.

Also, on the site. I think I could get used to it, but I agree about the picture quality. I noticed that yesterday. If you are going to use that huge banner at the top people are going to have to raise the resolution or quality of their pictures. Even the teaser pictures for the Bombshell look so different quality-wise from the other pics on the site.

  6. Claire this is absolutely unfair. We will not get used to this site. Iv tried opening it a couple of times and it’s so damn difficult. 99.9% of people who’ve commented have said NO! Don’t we matter or something? This site is bloody difficult to navigate and you can see ur comments drop but u r deciding to stick with it. WHY? im not one to make a lot of noise but FBD is the fashion site I visit the most; if this horrendous setting isn’t reversed, I may have to quit cos its running down my data and I can’t even navigate properly. Jeeeeez

  7. The new site sucks, especially for mobile users! Nonetheless, I like the biblical twist and all but the styling is lacking pizazz. The green and yellow ensemble is the only hit. The rest are boring.

  8. she dresses nice. Bless her heart.

I didnt want to say anything about the site but now that people are speaking up, this website is all over the place and too animated. I have to click and click 3 to 4 layers to get to where i want to go and then the animated elements of the banners throws me off. and this is just on my laptop. lawd knows i will not be reading this site on my iphone. also the site has that sterile too slick feel. the site before was more use friendly, luscious and vibrant

  9. @Risa et al We have made several changes to the site…it’s basically like it was before. Just empty your cache and refresh.
    Thanks!

  10. Nice style, but not enough versatility. Is anyone else having a problem with the new site loading on their phone?

  11. Her wig is HORRIBLE! I appreciate she isn’t wearing body con dresses and crop tops…nice to see something respectable and conservative. But she could take it up a notch. Get a little more fierce with it. A hat, a bag, a statement necklace, stomp-all-over-you-pumps, etc.

  12. Dressing modestly is great (if you want to), but she has no understanding of proportions and silhouettes. The long blue skirt with the cowl neck top is a good example of this.

you can dress modestly and attractive but these looks are ill-conceived.
