Hey!
So the year is winding on down, and the countdown begins to our Bombshell of the Year competition! We made our suggestions, but not very many people lent their voices to suggest who they’d like to see in the running. If you haven’t yet, submit your nominations for Best of 2013 here.
Until then, Bombshell posts continue as scheduled with Taneese from Baltimore:

  1. Awww! I like her! I love that she combines trendy pieces with classic items. A lot of people try to do that and fail miserably…it is nice to see someone do it well. Its clean, and unique and trendy and everything fits well. Well done! :)

  2. oh God, NO! too much goin’ on…and NO SHADE, but I was
about to crack up when I saw that green blazer look with the hat…all you need is a cane baby girl…P-I-M-P…LMAO!

  3. The last look was my personal favorite. There is a lot going on with the other outfits.happy holidays!

  4. Question: What is that pink thing she is holding in the pic with the all black on? Is that supposed to be a clutch?

  5. The three first looks are waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too busy!!! But I like the rest of your looks! I love how versatile you are, edgy, classic, feminine, tomboyish. The last look looks best, and I love how you’ve styled your hair in that look.

  6. Not feeling it. She looks a little old to wear some of these outfits. Forever 21 outfits with a Talbot’s face.

  7. Generally cute but some of the looks went a step too far and look like she was trying. Like the green jacket look -It’s cute but her hat and shoes make it look more like a costume. The first look didn’t need fur, patterned tights AND open toed shoes – She should’ve just went with the shoes. That third look would’ve been ok with plain black shoes. I’d say she’s generally good but there’s room for growth.

  8. All kinds of wrong…..trying wayyyyy too hard.

Chanel famously spoke about removing one thing once you are fully dressed and accessorized……well, Miss Thing right here would have to remove 5-7 pieces…….

A whole bunch of cheap things atop one another just says cheap. A good edit is in order and maybe an investment in a few higher priced quality pieces that lend some cache to the thrifty ones would help. This is just a note to folks in general: Instead of lots and lots of low quality, trendy, disposable items, a few higher quality things that will last and that are more timeless always work back to the trendy, less expensive pieces and work with whatever the seasonal message happens to be.

The last look with the windowpane pants is the only one that’s on the right track.

  9. I agree with @Cynthia! Do you boo, love your confidence! There are no rules…pay no mind to the close mindedness!

  10. I applaud her confidence and give her credit for not submitting a bunch of pics of herself staring down at the ground looking at nothing! That being said, she is doing way too much with a majority of her outfits and it comes off as trying too hard to be trendy. I’m also not a fan of open toe shoes & tighfs. But…. To each her own so I applaud you for trying Ms. Taneese.

  11. I don’t think its horrible. However, she is young and maybe her style is a little mature for her age. Nonetheless, I thinks she’s pretty and has a lot of POTENTIAL! GOOD JOB NEESE!

  12. She has so many nice individual pieces, but there’s too much layering in most of the looks. My favorite is the last look: it’s cleanly edited and the lines are sleek. I can tell that she’s going for a luxe look, but all those furs and the tights aren’t helping to achieve it. I voted Not bombshell but Ok, because I think with better editing, she can be a bombshell.

  13. She trying to hard… mixing patterns does not make you fashionable. It has to be done in a stylish way. Meaning you have to pay attention to the texture and color palett of the patterns you mix.

  14. Seems like some folks try “too” hard to make snarky comments on this site.

Anyway, I agree with Noirre….her style works for her. Her confidence really shines through.

  15. I love her style, individuality and flair !! To everyone that passed so much judgement on her look and commented negatively, I have question…… Where is YOUR fashion photo or what have your been nominated for ???! She has the confidence to EXPRESS herself through fashion and she looks AMAZING !!! She has my vote

  16. She exudes confidence. Some hits, some misses in her outfits. Loved the green & white blazers. Loved the leopard pants & the black & white pants.
