  1. I like the looks, her hair, and curvy shape, but the shoe choices were throwing me off in most of the pics.

  2. Her style is pretty dope! One critique: high waisted doesn’t look so great on her body type, so those shorts and jeans need to go. Everything else looks amazeballs.

  3. Sigh….my 2 cents, I think it’s almost there, the shoe choices killed some looks. Like that mint green dress would be fire with some tailoring and a sick red heel. The green bag is wrong. That long peach prarie dress would’ve been great with the right accessories. The red sandals put the church lady look in the coffin! But this a beautiful chick and the hair is gorgeous!

  4. Okay. Lets talk background: She’s in L.A.! She could have EASILY found better backdrops! And yes it does affect the way we view or experience her clothing.

But I love the long sleeve floorlength pink dress. I think she should have lost the hat and the earrings pulled her hair up, found smaller earrings with character, and carried a clutch instead.

  5. Nope. nothing bad to say here. She looks GOOD! She has curves, she’s pretty and her style is not overdone nor looks as if she’s trying to squeeze into a size too small for her.

Fabulous babes. I enjoyed every shot! Pigeon toed stance and all!

  6. This girl has style and her curves are killer! Love the vintage inspired outfits, however in the picture with the gloves she looks like an extra from The Help.

  7. I had a problem with EVERY look. I understand that we are celebrating curves but there is a distinct difference between curvy and fat. And in knowing how to carry it, I’d start with better foundation garments (I.e., bras, shapers, etc). None of this works for me at all.

  8. Loved the outfits. The shoes and extras (purses, gloves) need fine tuning. The pigeon toed stance in your pictures is messing up the timeless classiness you give….

  9. YOU are Fabulous! One of the rare beauties that should not own a single pair of pants/shorts. Donate them. The prarie dress in peach could lose the hat in lieu of big curls. I would love to see you resubmit after some tailoring and polishing. But bombshell all the way.

  10. Love a lot of her looks. The leather shorts were not so flattering on her but she has a great sense of style. Step the shoe game up and she might be a bombshell!

  11. Bombshell. I love the maxi dress, makes we want to go thrifting right this minute and get one.

  12. The looks are very good except for the pink maxi dress, horrible for her shape, it throws everything off, but all in all looks great!

  13. OK, it is a crazy thing when you see someone who has your EXACT body type. It is even better to see the positive feedback on it. I’m so focused on losing weight, I have to see how good someone else looks at this size to appreciate where I am today :-)

Regarding her fashion, she has some good peices but should work on her accesories and accenting (lose the hat, improve the jewlery). Aso, burn the shorts- they don’t fit and they’re not flattering. The best look is the mint dress.

  14. I love the way she can switch up her style! some misses to me and some def. on point.

  15. Her hair is awesome. Some of her fits look great in photos but I can just imagine the movement of the garments when the camera stops flashing and she starts walking. Ewww! I have hips for days and a flat stomach and the cut of most of these fits are horrible over curves. I vote bombshell as far as looks

  16. Most of this is crazy delicious. I follow Joi in Instagram, and I’m always a little jealous of how effortlessly she seems to work her vintage styles.

Many of the shoe choices are not what I would wear personally, and I know that’s why it’s HER style, and not MY style. But… Please consider re-shooting the outfit in #6 with different footwear. You were straight up killing that look until I got down to those red sandals. Like, I wanted to go watch The Color Purple after I saw that pic.

Btw, one of these days I’m gonna show up at her house and take that yellow houndstooth skirt by force, if necessary, lol. Joi, make sure you have it ready for me, now, ya hear?

  17. Honestly there is no need to act like you are giving a positive comment, but you being shady. We don’t wear clothes for people to like it, we wear it because it makes us happy. If you have nothing nice to say just move to the next post. She had some beautiful curves and a unique style.

  18. I have to comment! I feel the looks are too predictable. Dress, shoe, hat And accessory. I don’t think that the pieces were flattering to her. Might have been the fabric choice, print choice, how an item fit her, etc. Also, I felt some of the looks were dated. As a stylist and someone who is 6ft and curvy, I would have chosen different colors, accentuated her curves differently just to update her look! I have to question is she working this vintage look by choice or necessity?

  19. Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring on other
websites? I have a blog based on the same subjects you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I
know my viewers would appreciate your work. If you’re even remotely interested,
