  1. She is cute but I hate her style. A lot of pieces look cheap and too matchy matchy. Those Nigerian girls love that dated 2011 colorblocking…smh

  2. She’s cute but her style is just OK! I think she lacks originality and creativity. She needs to add some personality in order to differ her looks from the cliche ones see all the time. Good start tho!

  3. Oh man…wanted to love my Nigerian sister’s style so much but it just looked too cheap. very trendy but no classic pieces and no overall style on display….just fashion…

having said that, she is young and a student so operating within a budget – its understandable.

Gold, please study Vogue and Harpers Bazaar…you will understand a lot more about classic pieces.

  4. You can be thrifty, budget conscious and frugal and not look cheap. We all don’t have the means, but that’s no excuse for looking cheap.

I looked at the entry when it was first posted and thought to myself, “Comments are going to be crazy today.” Lmao. I’ll check back later today…

  5. Nigerian women please give the color blocking trend a fucking rest! Like WTF? You guys all look the same with nothing different to offer. Tone it down and polish your style. I’m so sick of it.

  6. Ok style. I would say she always looks nice overall. BUT I’m tired of seeing that yellow ASOS dress on these bombshells.

  7. i honestly think that there is something wrong with you Americans everything is cheap cheap. yet its a known fact most americans make less than $50 000 a yr and even worse for African americans yet are so preoccupied of looking expensive. I am peplexed. Why this need to show off with so called expensive stuff when u all obviously can’t afford that lifestyle. I think its a symptom of sickness, a people trying to
overcompensate for something, a people trying to make themselves feel better about themselves. Advice clothes do not maketh a person. I am out.

  8. @ Lia, I don’t think the comments are referring to the actual cost of her outfits. It’s more of the way she put them together and some of the tacky fabrics. One can shop on a budget without looking cheap.

  9. DEAD @ you H&M-obsessed American N*groes calling her “cheap.” I can’t with you hating h*es smh get your life.

Her style is youthful, energetic and fun. Pretty gal too. Do you sis.

  10. @ Lia

You better preach it. And we all know most of these n*ggas spend their 9 to 5 paychecks at the H&M and forever 21 sales rack. Now they want to front on the internet. Chile boo!!! I can’t with y’all. You n*gresses aint sh*t.

  11. I actually like her style alot. Her pieces remind me of a mixture between thrift store finds and her own personal closet. I love it! Do you boo, not everyone’s style will knock people off their feet. :) Blessings!

  12. ANOTHER ONE?? :lolz: Is there some uber-exchange/scholarship program? Was just threatening my partner to runaway to the Ukraine with my son and start a new life as a Dr.

She’s as cute as the other two…and does so with a much smaller frame. She looks so tiny yet still wears her style well.

Lots for the younguns to like here from entire outfits to pieces. Fav Fit: all white.

  13. GO GOLD!!! Your style is YOU and it suits you! Doesn’t matter if you bought the asos, forever 2i et al. Colorful and pretty… And I love how you wear pieces for petite.

  14. The last 3 bombshell’s have exactly the same style, wonder if they know each other!.

I think she looks really cute and presentable, but the way she has paired certain pieces does come off a bit cheap. You can wear head to toe forever 21 or H&M and make it look expensive, almost like you can’t even tell were the pieces were bought.

I’m sure most people mean exactly that and not that she needs to buy designers to look less cheap. It’s a matter of knowing how to buy inexpensive items that look expensive, then knowing how to style them.

  15. I agree with a lot of the comments. It’s not about buying all designer duds to look expensive. Plenty of celebrities have the means for such items and often times look “cheap”. It’s about styling and choosing your pieces carefully. Plenty of items from F21, H&M, Zara look just as good if lot better than designer gear. You do not have to live outside your means but you do have to understand basic concepts of styling.

  16. A lot of the comments make valid points. It’s not about living outside your means to look nice. Plenty of wealthy individuals who can afford designer duds look “cheap” or ill put together oftentimes. You don’t have to be a millionaire but you do have to understand the basic concepts of styling. With some improvement I’m sure she will come together nicely.

  17. I am more impressed that all these young Nigerian women are in Universities trying to get a degree. That says a lot about how they prioritize education something we should try to emulate in the black community in the US.

  18. Cheap shoes made of cheap synthetic materials will ruin a look every time. Inexpensive and cheap are not the same and if you don’t know that you don’t understand fashion. The internet has made shopping on a budget too easy to excuse buying and wearing cheap clothes or shoes.

  19. She’s adorable. Her style speaks to a younger age, and this is something that also need be understood. I look forward to seeing her post in the future and to see how her style has (at that time) evolved.

  20. She is wearing a different pair of shoes is each picture. I would estimate that each of those pairs cost her bout $20 each and boy do they look it. If she pooled that money and invested in just 2 decent pair of shoes, she wouldn’t look so cheap.

Its not about designer or expensive goods, its about having an eye for classy things that will outlive fashion trends. Gold needs to work on that.

And to those attacking the americans for calling her cheap looking, I am a Nigerian who schooled in the UK and I will go on record and say that she looks cheap. If she was my little sister I would say the exact same thing.

  21. Cute for a high school look plus she has a nice figure and is cute as a button. The clothes are no bueno for an adult however… Overly trendy, unoriginal and yes, cheap

Perhaps when she graduates she will upgrade. Kudos to her on getting her education!

  22. Why are we wielding racial epithets at each other for fashion’s sake?! What does it profit a woman to tear down another simply in dissension? Does it make more valid an argument or rather venomously & gratuitously corrupt the already ravaged soul of the Nubian sister? Claire & fellow commenters, I’m not here for this. I have conjured up foul things to say about “bombshells” all the time, yet usually I accord myself based on that old school maternal morality: if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

  23. * ‘Preferences’->’General’->’Restore window state of recent files’ option.

      * ‘Paste on Right Click’ menu option (‘Edit’->’Clipboard’).
      * Title bar now shows file name in place of program name.
