  1. I like the all white and the high waist jeans.

personally, i’d rather invest money and look polished, than just invest time/creativity and look cheapened. find a balance, and you’ll win in the fashion game

ruching that isn’t mean to be says a lot about fit, and longer shorts would class it up a bit. I can almost see your butt cheeks :(

  2. hey love you look gorg with the exception the last pic which is borderline charolette russe but love love idk what the rest are talkin bout? ugh

  3. NOPE! She should have left well enough alone. The first submission was way better. THE KEY TO BEING CHEAP IS NOT LOOKING IT.

  4. Wow….. I think she looks great I don’t know why everyone is saying she looks cheap. The outfit with the shorts and the shirt tucked in not my favorite but overall she looks fantastic. I feel like there is alot of hate already.

  5. I don’t think it’s the worst submission, but I do agree that her first submission was way better. I’ll check out her blog to see what’s gone on since the last submission to warrant these pix being chosen as representational of her style (which I remember and liked from last year).

  6. This is embarassing me. We (LA) are not affiliated in any way whatsoever with this

  7. I like her philosophy. Her verbiage is a little condescending, but I understand the gist of what she is saying. What’s the point of having high-end pieces if you don’t have a pot to piss in? I rather have assets than a label on my arse.

With that being said, it’s very difficult to dress inexpensively and not come across as cheap. I get cheap from some of the outfits, not all, but some.

I think people should focus more on buying items that will have a high cost-per-wear, not necessarily and high price tag. I rather own less items that are high in quality than own more items that are low in quality.

My favorite looks are the first (minus the shoes pairing) and the third. Overall, I like her.

  8. I’m going to need you commenters to leave a link to your instagram pages, I want to see how yall look, since according to you guys she looks cheap. She looks great to me. Let’s see how the rest of you all dress.

  9. It’s okay, kind of boring but it’s her aesthetic not mine. Now with that being said I do agree with her about “balling on a budget” because I am a firm believer in this. I’m not a cheap and I don’t buy the most expensive clothing but I do act my “wage”. I like to mix highs with lows and invest in key pieces. I admitt I shop at Marshall’s, Tjmaxx, Ann Taylor, Asos, Gap, Banana republic etc etc but I can mixed Items with pieces from Niemans and Saks etc. I hope those who buy only designer and are label wh**res I hope you have money invested in stocks and bonds and I hope you’re buying not leasing, but anywho that’s your problem not mine. Fashion is what you make it, you either have it or you don’t. “It can’t be bought”

  10. is it just me or does her white pants have yellow stains in 2 places. On her right thigh, and on her left leg right below the knee. No this is not greater/most of la, but it is bomb town downtown the tacky dirty alley la.

  11. She has a beautiful body, the best I’ve seen on FBD with those rocking legs!

Here’s the BUT: She needs a lot of editing. For all of the “fashion tips” she dispensed, she has to take her own advice; there was nothing creative about any of her getups. It’s the same “wannabe-chic and a clutch” look. BASIC.

I thought the boho/festival outfit with the Top Shop black cut-out booties was cute, albeit trite.

  12. This girl is my cup of tea when it comes to style. Very classy with a little trendy. Where did she get those high-rise jeans. They are fly!

  13. I do like some of the looks a lot, but those white and beige shoes do look cheap. They may not be cheap, but they do. And yes, some of my shoes are reasonably priced too, but I hope they do not look cheap.

  14. Prior to reading her style description, I concluded that her clothes do indeed look cheap. You don’t have to live above your means and buy expensive items that you can’t afford, but quality is also important.

  15. I like it

  16. I loved her first submission. I only like this one. Guess it shows that she is versatile.

  17. horrible. nothing wrong w/ frugality, but quality is important. no boo. i’m from LA and this DOES NOT rep LA style. at all.
