  1. Presses refresh to make sure FBD didn’t lose their God fearing mind…..to realize they did. Beautiful sistah….but her fashion is DEFINITELY NOT bombshell applicable. I hope y’all aren’t posting these submissions to mess with us 0_o

  2. Nah! She dresses well but this isn’t a bombshell unless the definition of bombshell has changed to every day 9-5 wear. Or Mannequin Shopping means bombshell.

  3. Question 1, how do you pronounce Bike?
#2: Why the open toed/bare legs/mini skirt/thin jacket in the snow?

  4. I’m really concerned about her bare toes surrounded by snow. Can’t be bombshell and have frostbite.

  5. This woman is all the way backwards. Open toe summer tacky sandals in the winter and turtlenecks in the spring/summer… que? W/a cool&original name like that, her fashion is less than sub par. It’s ill fitting and not effortless at all. I can tell she plans her outfits two days in advanced. This was a major let down.

  6. Hmmmm…I kept scrolling down waiting to be wowed. She seems to be caught between two worlds. She clearly like patterns but then she completely destroys the look with these heavy colors and fabrics. And yes I know fashion is kind of seasonless where people are just wearing stuff all out of the order that it is presented in regards to fall and spring, but really a sundress in the middle of a field of snow????? If ever there was a time to show off s nice trench or a trendy moto jacket it would be a Midwest winter. The only look that sparked for me was the white winter coat look and I cannot fathom any reason why she would go outside in the freaking snow without her coat since she clearly has one.

  7. I can’t get on board with anything and I too wonder if her name is pronounced the way it’s spelled. I’m trying to think of it with a different pronunciation but a name that unique should be addressed

  8. Pretty girl, love the dreads sistah! Style is ok, jackets are ill-fitting and there is no wow factor. Love that you’re able to see your own garments. Love the printed items. I too was confused about the light clothing in the dead of winter. Maybe she recently took those pictures to have more to submit? Polish up a bit and resubmit in a couple years.

  9. This is what you get when y’all continue to complain about Kim Kardashian posts hahahahahahaahahahahahahaaaaaa!

  10. Having been living in the Twin Cities now for 3 years… I think (hope) that said pictures were taken when it started warming up, which we get a lot of snow here & it does take sometimes all the way until June & July to melt. See: Sublimation

Otherwise, I’m here for the sewing/diy. I am inspired by those who haven’t been sewing all of their life and decide to pick up the skill. Beautiful. I have 2 sewing machines that need to get that work so I will be visiting your blog, ma’am, asap!

  11. @Noirre … lol that’s what I was also saying, the only item I love is the green plaid skirt and oh Lordy she did not do that skirt justice.

  12. Ummm….where to begin? Well, let’s start with the positive. Kudos to her for exploring her sewing capabilities. Hopefully, she will continue to grow in this realm and better understand what “good fitting” clothes really look like. I can appreciate African prints and individuality….however, this was just a pure atrocity! From the heavy, clunky, cheap looking shoes to the ill-fitted clothes. Three words came to mind when scrolling through these pictures..cheap, dated, and forced.

  13. I love the African prints. But I’m thinking most are just not going to translate well to wintertime in Minnesota.

In terms of the items she made, the fit is good. But the items off-the-rack are not as well fitting.

The maroon peplum top is adorable but could have been styled better. The gray skirt with the rectangles should have been lined bc you can see the hem.

I would like to see her better shoes and belts.

She does beautiful work but just doesn’t have ready-to-wear pieces nice enough to go w/ the pieces she’s made.
