  1. Ugggg…. in typical DC fashion she buys expensive accessories and wears cheap, ill fitting clothes. A Celine bag can’t save any of those outfits. And I don’t even care to address that ripped white “jumpsuit”. :-/

  2. Typical DC “style” she buys expensive accessories and wears them with cheap, ill fitting clothes. A Celine bag can’t save those outfits, not saying she has to spend $1,000’s on a dress, but more than $20 would do a world of good. And don’t even get me started on that white “jumpsuit” looking outfit. :-/

  3. But I LOVE the printed dress, looks great on her! It really highlights her shape and I love the pairing with the boots.

  4. I just dont get it…shes screaming post this on Instagram–like my pic–follow me. Instagram have people going out and spending money on clothes, just to get follows or likes. This is what I call the Mayweather Syndrome– buy expensive thing, and the outfits still look HORRIBLE! Nothing flatters her, and oh the white jumpsuit, I hope you were hopping to bed with those, or maybe having some fun time with your man or something. This is what happens when social media takes over your life, people are so remotely interested in how much this and that cost, but does it suit you?

  5. Claire, once again, you tried it!
That pale pink lipstick is giving me all types of Tyrone Biggums.
That white catsuit was the nail in the coffin.
I see a bit of potential here but I also see a lot of ratchet and nikki minaj infused in her style.

    TONE IT DOWN.

  6. I think she has a nice body and I like the black boots but definately not a fashion bombshell because her clothes are too tight & scream bigcartel website looking.

  7. What the hell is that white thing?!?!? Chile no:/…cute girl, loved the printed dress and lace up boots and also thought the first pic of the black and white was cute as well.

  8. Are we really questioning her style choices after reading what she wrote… ??

“I seen and noticed fashion at another angle.”
” So now, I dress the way I would like too be addressed.”

    Bye. Farewell. Sayonara.

  9. @Steph – “Tyrone Biggums realness” *dead*

@Danielle – I said the same thing!!! I couldn’t even look at the pics, I was too busy frowning up my face at how she wrote the description of herself! Gucci shoes with a Rainbow vocabulary……

  10. Cannot vote from my phone, but I say bombshell. Not crazy about some pastel lipsticks because they do not photograph well. Other thank i pretty much loved her looks.

  11. But her bio says … “23 with a master’s degree”

and she said “I seen and noticed…”

    I seen?!!!!!

Where is the master’s degree from? An online program?

  12. She had some hits and misses.. I do feel as though some of her outfits were cute but not well thought out

  13. It’s been a tough day in the office. I really needed this late afternoon break. Thanks FBD!
Tyrone Biggums??? I can now go conquer the rest of the day!

  14. Few hits..few misses. Shoe game on point..love the first black and white outfit and the print dress/lace boots. Definitely some pieces I would wear…but..something is just..off..

Can’t really put my finger on it. Not bad, though. That white outfit? Burn it. now. please.

  15. Uhh Uhh…she is giving Park Girl Realness…and that lipstick is Not the Look she should be going for in her life!!she needs to give that white jumper to the cat who tore it up..i almost liked green print jeans, Almost. Stick with them Phillip Lim boots and that dress, next time separately…
@Danielle – yes i thought it was just me!
@Steph – “tyrone biggums” you said that!!
    @ Mo – Gucci vs. Rainbow!! #DEAD

  16. Black and white outfit the bomb!!! Flower pants and shirt the bomb! Wasn’t feeling the white jumper either but we all have our oops moments in fasion. Definitely a fashion bomb! Go girl:)

  17. Very reminiscent of an IG model, video vixen, girls who are popping bottles everyday except Monday. A label doesn’t make the outfit. She’s a cute girl, however.

  18. that’s an interesting way to want to be addressed when half your clothes are club attire

  19. Too much of everything. Its not awful, some great pieces that need to be put together in a different manner.

    I really like the overalls!

Pale lipstick makes her face look weird..and it took me a minute to try and figure out what looked weird on her face…

  20. She is attractive… But clearly she knows it and shows off her body rather than being fashionable. I will NEVER vote for a woman standing to show off her ass.

  21. your shoe game dear is ON POINT. But I think the clothes are far top trendy and some what party girl like. Fashion is a complete look, and understanding how your look photographs. I dont really get a sense of who you are from these photos, well actually if I had to give an assessment on your character based on these photos. It would read Hi my name is fashion treatz I am a college student by day and a stripper by night. I love buying expensive shoes and purses, and mac lip stick. Oh and I payed a few hundred for my weave. (end) I however think there is way more to you than that.

  22. I’m sorry but her attempt at being different failed because she looks like every IG FASHIONISTA who buys the same clothing from those IG BOUTIQUES

  23. Jesus. Yes! @Danielle from one Danielle to another, the grammar is ridiculous. We’ve got to do better. I’m lmao at Claire for posting it exactly how she wrote it. Eff the clothes, get this girl some ENG100…We’ll start with the basics.

  24. This post just threw me all off. There is so much going on. I think a little real reflection on what your style is would do some good. In the description, it says she dresses the way she wants to be addressed, this is an interesting statement because I kind of agree with one of the commentators who said she looks like a college student. I like a lot of her pieces but very few of her actual looks. Very pretty girl, but please no more of the lip stick, it does not suit you. Build your look, don’t just throw stuff together. Not trying to be harsh, I see/respect the effort. But I expect more for a CEO.

  25. I see a lot of potential here. It just needs to be refined a little bit more. Right now it’s a little bit all over. My fav. outfit is the black and white one.

  26. I voted bombshell! Your style is unique and consistent. You are very pretty, cutesy and youthful.

  27. Women are so critical of one another. There’s a such thing as constructive criticism. SHEESH

  28. I wanted to keep an opened mind and decided to go to her IG page. It’s worse and I am completely confused why she said I dress by how I want to be addressed because some of the looks ain’t very classy. But I guess not everyone is going for certain looks. So, I say do you girl!!

  29. She took things a step too far in each of these pics. The all black with white shoes outside the bathroom? The buckle on those shoes are too much. The Floral on floral was also too much – if she was gonna mix prints she should’ve did floral and stripes or dark and light. The Parental Advisory ensemble has too many separate black and white pieces – a plain black tee would’ve done or at the very least a black tee with white writing for contrast. Plus she’s GOT to get rid of the pale pink lips. The black sweatshirt in the bathroom and the pencil skirt had the most promise to them. That overalls look and the cheap white jumpsuit/dress? No. Just no, not ever.

  30. It’s not terrible, but she dresses like a ATL stripper. Just too much and I was expecting a pole in the bathroom. Just too much. I liked the overalls, but everything else such potential but destroyed by just too much hooker looks.

  31. @JLynn719 Unfortunately, it’s a bad representation of DC style. Try not to group us natives in the same ratchet closet with her.

DC style is truly unique, but this post was an extreme interpretation of it.

The shoe game is sick, but she just needs to find one fashion lane to stick with to truly be “unique.”

  32. I know nothing about D.C style but if this is an indication, I’ll pass. “I dress the way I like to be addressed” Hmmm… HUNTY! In the words of the great Lauryn Hill, “babygirl, respect is just a minimum” I wonder if that’s working out for her. Lastly, the way she dresses does not seem age appropiate. Please cover up, match or at least coordinate, and leave SOMETHING to the imagination! Oh yeah, I went to her “online boutique” because usually boutiques mean you can purchase things, right? It’s a blog. Very disappointing.

  33. The Phillip Lim …..That Is All. Please don’t let this be a representation of DC Fashion. I think she brought too much ATL back with her. Between “BlueIvyCarter” and “JLynn” I LIVE! Too much going on, and i’m so sick of people throwing around the word “style” and “fashion” PLEASE. Look it up, define it, and learn it. You can’t call rancid/poor quality outfits “your personal style” just say that’s you, cause your insulting the word (style). No shade to this sweetheart but people are really throwing the words around too much, and to those of us who actually work in the fashion world and took the time to study fashion and did not just throw a Instagram business together, its insulting. Ladies PLEASE stop allowing the Instagram cool crowd to influence your fashion choices and life, I think “BlueIvyCarter” said it best. Lastly, Claire you did try it. It’s to the point we just scroll through these Fashion Bombshells now. I Can’t with them anymore. I only stopped because she was from DC. Smh, My mistake.

  35. Oh hell no. She looks like a bird. I did like the black and white jacket in the first photo, but overall I would say, having expensive pieces means nothing if you can’t put them together. And death to that ashy pink lipstick. Let it die!!! LET IT DIE!!!

  36. Claire, I’m talking to you directly now. This fashion bomb daily has just been downgraded into trash. I’m sorry for being so blunt but one used to look forward to these everyday because you put up well dressed people.Notice the comments aren’t as many anymore too.

In 2014, YOU need to do better. You certainly don’t have to accept every submission you get. Even if you have to seek out people out there with good content who don’t want to submit and get them to do so. There are way too many stylish people out there for you to continue to feature every color blocking queen, Instagram hashtagged puppet and outright atrocious style blunders. This is not in the least bit a good sense of style. Not even in the same zipcode so please DO BETTER!

  37. @Wetin
If you want to see better, please send your pictures in or point some of these stylish people in my direction. Thanks!

  38. I don’t hate the outfits, some of the pieces were kinda cute. I just thought the that most of the outfits looked tight on her and some outfits were a little too busy.

If she starts off with the one statement piece mindset and work around that, then it would be better. Cute girl though and I really like the shoes in the last pic :)

  39. As a native Washingtonian, this is embarrassing! Its bad enough that the styles here is either conservative or hood(ish). Most posts I’ve seen on here from girls claiming to be from D.C. makes us look bad! BTW those aren’t the Phillip Lim boots, those are ZiGi Girl Piarry boots, child please!

  40. I’m new to FBD and have enjoyed this site – just wanted to say that first!

I like the black & white, the dress & boots, and the floral on floral looks. Some debatable other looks that could be paired differently to make them more iconic. It’s not what I would call “Bombshell”.

However, that brings me to an important next point…How I define “Bombshell” and how FBD defines it might be different. I know that generally the term refers to a women who is very pretty/beautiful. If I may ask Claire or someone who is a seasoned contributor “How does FBD define Bombshell”? This would be helpful to know…What it is and What it is not.

Just wondering if the term “bombshell” is open to everyone’s own interpretation…seems the comments touch on everything and I mean everything.

    Thanks so much in advance!

  41. well, i think she’s cute and her style is cute as well. yes, she does need to invest in more quality clothing, but once she does i think she’ll be killin them. some of her outfits were original and i liked how she put stuff together (first pic and pic in bathroom w/ boots). you look good girl!

  43. Wow! So much negativity. A lot of you guys that are saying this is a “bad representation of DC fashion” must have never traveled out of the DMV area. I lived in DC for 4 years & I must say while this bombshell isn’t 100%, damn, she’s doing you guys A LOT of justice. There’s nothing wrong with dressing trendy because at the end of the day, she still looks cute. What I’ve noticed is that DC takes trends & make them trashy. Her style isn’t over the top but not basic either. The white jumper & pale lipstick is a mistake but hey, we all make them sometime. Fashion bombshell potential.

  44. She has a few cute pieces… I am a little concerned that the majority of her pictures are in the bathroom. As a result of that, it looks like she is playing dress up… instead of owning it.

That white jumpsuit and overall piece is a straight no ma’am.

  45. @ Danielle, Mo,Steph and Dani. Y’all said it best. Cute girl but no to some of the outfits. Great pieces that need better execution.

  46. I would definitely love to borrow some of her shoes/bags. Very shapely and dresses to accentuate that.

I find some of her mixes, fun and flirty. I really like the fact that she is a business owner in the area of her passion.

    Much Success to you!

  47. HMMMM… Some cute pieces but STYLED HORRIBLY! Ugh! Just typical GHETTO CHIC. The way some of these expensive items are styled so cheaply makes me believe that they are possibly fake? I really like the overall look and the black and white printed dress but that white jumpsuit needs to be burned, along with those disgusting flannel pumps.
