Fashion Bomb TV: Tiwa Savage Talks Style, Music, and Leaving a Global Legacy

Happy Thursday (and happy first day of New York Fashion Week, wooooo!).
As you know, a few weeks ago, I was blessed to interview Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage about her music, style, and more. See the video below:

A few things I learned about her:

Some of her favorite designers include Deola Sagoe, Bridget Awosika, Toju Foye, and April by Kunbi. (all brands I need to familiarize myself with–stat!).

She wants to be remembered as a global artist. She says, “I don’t want to be remembered as one of the biggest female artists out of Africa, I just want to be remembered as one of the biggest artists period. [I want to be known as] one of the people that was part of the revolution that happened with Afro music to the world. I also want to be remembered as a very strong woman and someone who inspired a lot of people that regardless of the challenges we go through as women, you can still achieve a lot. It’s a long road and it’s a slow race. It definitely is about pacing yourself and never ever giving up.”
Love it!
Indulge in the video above and let me know what you think!
