    • The 28-year-old designer at the head of Balmain doesn’t mind being knocked off!  In a recent interview, Olivier Rousteing pointed to a quote from Coco Chanel as his reasoning for why he doesn’t see fast fashion brands like Zara and H&M as cheapening his brand.  “I think it was Coco Chanel who said if you’re original, be ready to be copied,” he said.  “I love seeing a Zara window with my clothes mixed with Celine and Proenza [Schouler]! I think that’s genius. It’s even better than what I do!”  The designer went on to say it’s the perfect way for everyone to get a piece of the designs.  So don’t feel bad when you’re getting it for less! (The Independent)

    • According to Kendall Jenner and her family, being a Kardashian has actually made it harder to make her foray into being a serious model.  “People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t.” she said.  “What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show.” The best parts for her: when she walks into a casting and people don’t recognize her.  (The Cut)
