The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Streaker Crashes Prabal Gurung’s Fall 2014 Show, Voguers Take Hood by Air’s Runway, and 3.1 Phillip Lim to Reveal Sneak Peek of NARS Lacquer Collaboration Today

Prabal Gurung‘s  Fall 2014 show was a spectacle indeed (with giant gongs lining the runway,) but it wasn’t the clothes that made headlines over the weekend. At the end of the gorgeous display, a streaker, clad in a crown, leopard print loincloth, socks, loafers, and a duster ran down the runway, and according to Fashionista.com, no one was laughing. • Delwar Hossain and his wife, Mahmuda Akter, owner and chairperson of Tazreen Fashions Ltd., have surrendered to Bangladesh authorities 14 months after a fire ripped through their factory, killing 111 workers. The pair have been thrown in prison, and been denied bail. (WWD)

Hood by Air‘s 20-minute long fashion show ended yesterday with a troupe of voguers, who stomped out onto the runway, whipping and dipping for their lives. It was certainly a riveting display, and not gonna lie, I definitely let out an enthusiastic “yaaaaaaaas,” once the troupe hit the catwalk. Check out the video above. ( The Cut)

• Good luck getting a pair of snow boots in New York City this season. The winter snow, ice, and slush have been so excessive, that city residents have been running  in droves to shops like The North Face and EMS to pick up weather-appropriate footwear. Many stores are sold out of snow boots, or are running out of stock to satisfy the increased demand. (NYT)

3.1 Phillip Lim spring 2014 14

• You might want to pay particular attention to the 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2014 show today. Style.com reports that the designer has collaborated with NARS on a nine-piece lacquer collection, and one of the colors will make its debut on the runway today. As for the range, that’s due out in August. Can’t wait to see (and speculate) what the collection will bring! (Style.com)
