The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Kendall Jenner Walks For Chanel Haute Couture, Alexander Wang Previews H&M Collaboration, and Ellen DeGeneres To Launch Lifestyle Brand

  • Kendall Jenner proved she’s no one season wonder when she appeared in this season’s Chanel Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week. Wearing a strapless red and black tweed dress with feather arm warmers, a cross body bag and flip fops, the Kardashian spawn is certainly racking up the accolades.  Her family showed their support via social media, with her sister Khloe telling her to “sissy that walk.” Work it, Kendall! (Teen Vogue)

  • Alexander Wang and H&M have taken to social media to preview their upcoming collaboration.  Slated to hit stores November 6th, the collection will span both womenswear and menswear, and include accessories.  The two preview photos, posted on Instagram, detail a sporty riff for the products, featuring a key fob with boxing gloves in one image and what looks to be an embossed yoga mat in the other. The collection will be available in-stores and online once it launches. You excited? (Instagram)

  • Fendi’s Karlito bag charm is a hot commodity.  Debuted in February during the brand’s runway show, the Karl Lagerfeld themed fur pom-pom has racked up a waiting list of more than 600 people in just a month according to the brand.  The piece is priced at $1,685 and will begin shipments in September. • Ellen DeGeneres is expanding from the world of entertainment with the launch of her brand, E.D. With a capsule collection do debut in time for the holidays, the former Emmy’s host plans to focus on this lifestyle brand and is creating it with the help of Chris Burch, Tory Burch’s ex-husband. “I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t want it to be the biggest brand name that you can imagine,” said DeGeneres about the project. • In a recent article for The Wall Street Journal, Tyra Banks talks about the future of beauty.  In the article, the former model details 10 changes that she’s coming to pass for our world due to the advent of technology and shift in modes of thought.  The article is a doozy, ranging from rings as simple as “there will be no hair extensions” to Banks asserting that “women’s empowerment will be an irrelevant concept because the balance of power between the sexes will have shifted dramatically.”  It’s a curious piece and one that you really just have to see to believe.
