  • If you follow Kelis then you know that her style can change pretty drastically! But in a recent interview she sort of explained that it’s all because of her music direction.  “You know my last record, it was a dance record so everything was sort of futuristic and scifi-esque and a lot of, sort of, animalistic things involved,” she said.  “This record is totally different. The vibe of this record is really warm, it’s more into things that show off curves and things like that.” In addition to talking about sartorial shifts and her new FOOD album, she discussed Pharrell and the influence that Pharrell himself said she had on his fashion sense. • Back at the CFDA Awards, Alexander Wang’s guest came as a bit of a surprise for most.  The designer chose Mango(a character that Chris Kattan played on Saturday Night Live) for his plus one.  We soon found out why, as the next day, T by Alexander Wang released an ad campaign video featuring the comedian.  If that campaign wasn’t funny enough, the brand has now released outtakes from the shoot. • In the resort collection for Opening Ceremony there was one bag that looked a little familiar.  Models carried a deconstructed fancy lunch sack that many remembered seeing at brands like Celine and See by Chloe a year ago — and even back at Raf Simons for his menswear show prior to that. Made of unlined suede, the OC style of the bag comes with an optional cross body strap. “In our mind, we were working with this idea of a soft bag, and it had a great little silhouette,” said co-designer Humberto Leon. “It’s not perfect-looking. It’s kind of crinkled, and it’s a really good size.” Will you pick up this iteration of the classic lunch bag? (Fashionista)
