    • After racking up six MTV Video Music Award nominations, Iggy Azalea is now hosting MTV’s House of Style show. The singer will host eight episodes of the web only series, which will feature cameos by Jeremy Scott and Rita Ora.  The show debuts August 4th. Plan to tune in? (Teen Vogue)


    • The model formerly known as Andrej Pejic has now come out as a a transgendered woman and has amended her name to be Andreja Pejic.  After undergoing sexual reassignment surgery, the Bosnian model will continue on with modeling — plans for fashion week are already in the works — and a fledgling acting career as she will appear in Sofia Coppola’s The Little Mermaid. She will be moving from the men’s model boards to the women’s boards, and hopes to land a beauty campaign at some point. (Style.com)


    • Rita Ora has been racking up the fashion tie-ins — DKNY and Roberto Cavalli campaigns and an Adidas capsule — and now its time to ask why.   Well, according to an industry source its simple: she has an amazing social media following and she looks great in clothes. Glamour Magazine reported gaining upwards of 2,000 followers when Rita Ora took over their Instagram. It has yet to be determined if her effect extends to actual profits. (Fashionista)


    • With her tenure lengthened, Diane Von Furstenberg has gotten right to work at the CFDA, buying Ruth Finley’s Fashion Calendar. “The Fashion Calendar has been one of the foundations of our industry, ensuring that the press, retailers and designers are able to come together in an efficient manner,” she said.  “Now that is a part of the CFDA, we are prepared and excited to take it into the new world.”  While changes won’t really take effect until February, expect a streamlined schedule during the cornerstone September and February shows and a continuation of moving to mobile, as the CFDA partnered with Fashion Calendar on last fashion week.  (Vogue UK)
