• We can always expect a lot of fur in a Fendi collection, but the Italian fashion house took things to the next level at their men’s Fall 2014 shows by having their models strut down a runway made entirely of goat fur. (WWD)

• Who run the world? Definitely not girls, according to a Shriver Report essay by Beyoncé Knowles. The singer penned a short epistle on gender inequality, declaring it a myth, and calling for a greater commitment to equal pay between men and women in the workforce. Right now, women make 77 cents to every dollar a man makes. “Humanity requires both men and women, and we are equally important and need one another. So why are we viewed as less than equal,” she writes. “These old attitudes are drilled into us from the very beginning. We have to teach our boys the rules of equality and respect, so that as they grow up, gender equality becomes a natural way of life. And we have to teach our girls that they can reach as high as humanly possible… Women are more than 50 percent of the population and more than 50 percent of voters. We must demand that we all receive 100 percent of the opportunities.” Preach! (The Shriver Report)
