• The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Anna Dello Russo Dons Headdress on Instagram; Sparks Ire, Adidas Originals Teases Rita Ora Collection, and Givenchy To Sell $300 Lipstick

    • Anna Dello Russo is the latest fashion star to get hit with cultural appropriation criticism.  After posting five Instagram photos wearing a Native American headdress, the editor suffered quite a bit of backlash from her followers. “Why can’t people understand that this headpiece is not fashion, it’s tradition and a sign of respect intended only for male native/indian americans this is so ignorant and unnecessary! You wouldn’t grab a veil and prance around Ibiza with it!!! #CulturalAppropriation” said @Alexa_Vaan_godsendburg. What do you think? (StyleCaster)
    • Though Rita Ora’s multi-part collaboration with Adidas was announced a few months ago, the brand has now released a short video titled #Unstoppable to preview the line.  Set to Rita’s narration, the video features a floral hoodie, cap, as well as a patchwork bomber jacket.  Does this teaser spark your interest? •  Macy’s is set to launch the Ryan Seacrest Distinction Line, an exclusive collection of tailored clothing as well as furnishings. Preliminary images feature full suits and suit separates; the collection also boasts neckwear, tie bars, cuff links, belts and pocket squares. Even though he doesn’t claim to have designed the collection (and is only labeled as a curator), Seacrest says: “I’ve learned and evolved during this process.” Seacrest, who is a big fan of Christopher Bailey’s Burberry, said that though he will start to wear some pieces for his collection, he’ll continue to wear Burberry as well. Keep an eye out for the drop in September. (WWD)

When you’re done, you’ll be able to reuse the case with any other lipstick in the brand’s Le Rouge line. Yep, it’s on our Christmas list too. (Forbes)

    • Amongst Kanye West’s handful of fashion collaborations, you may recall the white stiletto sandals that he created with Giuseppe Zanotti, inspired by the artwork of the Cruel Summer album.  Well, as a part of Zanotti’s 20th anniversary, the brand has taken that design, removed the heel, and dipped them in gold! The sandals are only one pair of six that make up the anniversary collection and are available for $1,695. Would you cop them, or nah? (MTV Style)
