• The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Kendall Jenner Walks in Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 Show, Barbie Covers Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit Issue, and George Condo Speaks on Kim Kardashian’s Painted Birkin Bag

    • No one expected to see any of the Kardashian-Jenner tribe at last night’s Marc Jacobs show, but one member of the famous TV family did make it to the affair. Eagle-eyed spectators spied Kendall Jenner, not in the audience, but walking the show, barely recognizable with bleached eyebrows and a cropped bob. She was dressed in jodphur pants and a sheer top, her nipples gracing us with another appearance. Watch her mosey down the catwalk above. (Grazia)

    • Everyone on the internet had something to say about Kim Kardashian‘s christmas present, a scary George Condo– painted Birkin bag, gifted by fiancée Kanye West. While the reaction was overwhelmingly negative, Condo says he and Yeezy predicted the carryall would cause a fuss. “Kanye and I both knew immediately that people who knew our collaboration would think it was fun but that Kim’s fan base would go berserk,” Condo told W. “The whole point was to take an icon of consumerism and change it, which is like blasphemy. ‘You can’t do this!’ It short circuits people’s concept of what’s untouchable, which is why it was fun to do. If I had just done it and put it in my closet, it wouldn’t mean a thing,” he said, laughing. “But when you stick that bag in the hands of Kim Kardashian, well, then you create a whole different atmosphere. It’s about context.” But of course it is. (Fashionista)

    Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2014

    • A 55-year-old with the most impossible physique ever is  Sports Illustrated‘s 50th anniversary Swimsuit Issue cover girl, which in many ways, seems apropros. Barbie (as in the doll) has been bestowed the honor, clad in a black and white stripey bathing suit, sporting a high ponytail and white shades. The choice to use “the doll that started it all” is part of model SI’s #UNAPOLOGETIC campaign, which is supposed to empower women. Not sure how the unofficial mascot of our society’s body image issues does that, but werque anyway? (Grazia)

    • Just like the rest of us, the usually style-savvy Solange Knowles is struggling with dressing for this cold, snowy weather. “I’m doing horribly,” she told Page Six. “All the designers send you spring samples and it’s really hard trying to make the transition into winter looks. I’ve been doing really bad. But I did see [Vogue Japan editor-at-large] Anna Dello Russo walking up in a strapless tube dress with no jacket on the street, so I am not a champion.” (Page Six)
