• Anthony Vaccarello is the latest guest designer for Versus by Versace. Vaccarello has whipped up an offering of apparel and accessories, which will be revealed next year. His ultra-sexy sensibilities and penchant for glamour makes this quite the perfect pairing, a sentiment voiced by none other than Donatella Versace. “Anthony’s clothes have everything that I love: they are sensual, dynamic, daring,” she said. “He is a natural, and has the confidence and talent to push fashion where he wants it and where it is relevant for today’s women. I can’t wait to collaborate with him, and to see Versus Versace through his eyes.” Can’t wait to see what Vaccarello puts out! • Folks are getting serious about changing the circus-like nature of New York Fashion Week, and now that IMG’s been bought by William Morris Endeavor and Silver Lake Partners, people are speculating how the landscape of the shows might change under new management. IMG’s NYFW contract with Lincoln Center is up in February 2015, which means the event needs to find a different location. The Hudson Yards’s Culture Shed (not yet completed) is supposed to be NYFW’s future home–Mayor Bloomberg has allotted $50 million in the city’s money to it. Steven Kolb says the CFDA plans to handle the logistics of fashion week by then, and currently IMG is not obligated to follow. But, Jarrad Clark, vice president and global creative director at WME says that IMG’s might in the fashion industry gives “designers the opportunity to put on a world-class production,”  which sounds promising for IMG’s future involvement in NYFW. Still, we can expect changes to the event quite soon, which will include “better curated live shows and presentations at The Tents at Lincoln Center, a new off-site satellite hub for emerging talent and an expanded digital platform.” We’ll just have to wait and see if anything improves.
