Phillip Lim just confirmed what we already suspected: Solange Knowles is the perfect Met Gala date. The designer told The Cut that on the way to the affair, he was treated to a mini-performance of by Ms. Knowles. “Actually on the way to the Met, she’s like, ‘Okay, we’re going to listen to my playlist,'” he said. “Then she put on Mariah Carey and she sang a cappella. I’m like, ‘Wow, this is a personal concert!'” Mr. Lim, I’m officially jealous of your life. (The Cut)

Christy Turlington is back, fronting the campaign for Calvin Klein’s ‘Eternity’ fragrance alongside her husband, filmmaker Ed Burns. Turlington starred in the ads 26 years ago in 1988, and… she looks almost exactly the same now as she did then. This new campaign was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who Turlington says are “probably the two photographers I’ve worked with most over the past 10 years. When they call, I know I’m going to have a good day.” What do you think of these latest shots? (WWD)

    • Christian Dior pulled out all the stops for their Cruise 2015 show, flying out editors from all over the world to New York City, wining and dining them at Tavern on the Green, and even chartering a ferry to take them from Manhattan to the show’s location at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. But unfortunately, the folks at Dior were helpless against the stench of garbage waiting for them once they got to the spot. A source tells Page Six the smell was so bad, like an overpowering stench of sewage or garbage,” which even gave some guests a case of the tummy rumbles before entering the building. Ah, first world problems.(Page Six)

    Vanity Fair Oscar Party arrivals

Diane von Furstenberg is looking for a new Global Brand Ambassador, and she will be documenting the whole process with the help of E! News. The designer’s partnered with the network for a new reality competition, The DVF Project, which will pit contestants against each other in a series of challenges, to figure out who will ultimately get the job. “I am so thrilled to partner with E!,” she said, “and to grant young women the opportunity to become the women they want to be!” Not sure if a reality competition is the best way to go about the hiring process, but at least the rest of us will be entertained.
