The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Kimye’s Vogue Cover Didn’t Sell as Expected, Angelina Jolie Covers ELLE, And MAC Cosmetics to Release Marge Simpson-Themed Collection

• Last month, Kim and Kanye West’s Vogue cover was projected to sell at least 300,000 to 400,000 copies, beating last year’s highly successful Beyoncé (355,000) and Michelle Obama (269,000) issues. But now, it looks like Kimye didn’t quite hit those numbers. Mag Net Data, a company that scans data from wholesalers covering 98 percent of the market, says the cover most likely sold closer to 250,000 copies. (Page Six)

Marc Jacobs is expanding its fragrance options with the launch of another Daisy fragrance called Daisy Dream. The fragrance will launch in July, as will the new perfume TV ads, directed by Sofia Coppola. The print campaign was shot by long time Jacobs collaborator Juergen Teller. (WWD)

MAC cosmetics will launch a collection this September inspired by TV sitcom cartoon mom Marge Simpson. The collection will celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons, and while we don’t know the details on what to expect, I think it’s safe to say it will involve a lot of bright colors. Jennifer Lawrence is this month’s cover girl for Marie Claire. Thoughts on the shot? (Fashion Bomb Inbox)
