• Mary Katrantzou is the latest designer to team up with Adidas for a long-term partnership which will include clothing and footwear. Much like Stella McCartney and Jeremy Scott, Katrantzou will create a series of  collections, the first of which will launch this November. “I’m really excited to be working with Adidas on a line of apparel and footwear,” Katrantzou told Vogue UK. “I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market.” (Vogue UK)

Marissa-Webb-4th-Annual-Elle-Women-in-Music-Celebration • Banana Republic‘s about to get way more stylish. They’ve just named designer Marissa Webb creative director and executive vice president of design of Gap Inc., and in turn, have taken a minority stake in Webb’s label. Banana Republic global president Jack Calhoun says Webb has “a keen understanding of our heritage and all that makes us who we are, but at the same time a strong vision for how we can move forward to make BR even more relevant for today’s market — both our current customers and those we want to attract.”  Webb is slated to officially start on April 28th. • All summer concert series are in danger of being rendered IRRELEVANT, thanks to Beyoncé and Jay Z. Sources tell Page Six that the pair are planning to go on tour, together this time, and are expected to hit 20 stadiums in the USA starting late June. Bey and Jay’s people have yet to confirm, but rumors are swirling that the two will perform in NYC on July 4th, so basically, forget your Independence Day plans! (Vogue UK)
