KFC Chicken Corsages

• There are a few things in life that I wish was around when I was in high school (a lower SAT grading scale, One Direction), but none so much as KFC’s chicken corsages, which the fast food chain is selling just in time for prom season. You read that right. In collaboration with Louisville’s Nanz & Kraft florists, KFC is shilling out $20 corsage kits, that will allow you to affix a chicken wing (with a $5 KFC voucher) or leg to sprigs of Baby’s Breath and present it to your lucky date. Nanz and Kraft has already sold about half of the 100 kits they agreed to make for KFC, but are open to creating more if the fast food giant wants. I’m a little ratchet, so I think this sounds both functional and delicious. At the very least, fried chicken is a great way to coat your stomach before heading out to prom. Far as I’m concerned, KFC and Nanz & Kraft are saving teenage lives! (USA Today)

saint laurent crystal tights

• If you’re not buying Saint Laurent hosiery, you’re simply not paying enough for tights. Barneys and the house is selling a pair of crystal-encrusted tights, which will set you back a cute coin. $1,290 Sacajawea golden dollar coins to be exact. Granted, the tights are made from  polyamide fabric, which is nonflammable, which, I suppose, is why the good people at Saint Laurent attached such a hefty price tag. But nonetheless, there are better ways to spend $1,300, no? (The Fashion Spot)

• Looks like the Brooklyn Navy Yard is shaping up to be a hot spot for designers to show their collections.  Alexander Wang famously held his Fall 2014 show at the location, much to the chagrin of editors and buyers. Yes, the Navy Yard is a little out of the way for showgoers, but that’s not stopping the folks at Christian Dior from staging their Cruise collection there come May 7th“We wanted the show to feel very New York, and the Navy Yard’s view and space captures the city,” a spokesperson for the brand told WWD. In fact, Dior feels so strongly about the space, they’re offering door-to-door car and ferry service to shuttle everyone to and from the venue. (WWD)
