We are winding down the last few weeks of summer and stepping into the Fall season, which means for many of you fashionistas that it’s back to school time! To help you ladies transition your summer wardrobe to more autumn approved attire, tap into today’s What to Wear request.
Alexis writes, “Hi Claire! I will be taking senior portraits this Fall and my mother and I can’t come to an agreement on what I should wear. My style is very feminine & girly. Please help! Also, I will be taking all of my photos at a gorgeous park. Thanks!”
Since the Fall season yields anywhere from summer-like heat to mildly brisk temperatures, I included lots of layers in today’s style suggestions. So depending on the weather, add or remove pieces as needed to achieve your desired look. While your personal style may be feminine, be sure to take a more casual approach for your senior portrait look as you’ll be snapping photos outside.
For look #1, opt for muted Fall florals with a pair of double layer shorts topped with a cream lace tee and a draped 3/4 sleeve jacket. Style the look with a grey open front boot or a pair of nude lace up ballerina flats.
Pair your favorite skinny jeans with a pink ruffle shoulder top and a tailored white blazer for wardrobe option #2.
And for your final look, create a chic rustic ensemble with an ivory lace dress, a moto crop denim jacket, and a pair of brown ankle boots with buckle detail.
What do you think? Have I captured your feminine flare fit for your senior moment?
