Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time to comb through your closet, scale through a few racks at your local thrift store, and hit up Party City for this year’s costume. If you plan to partake in any Halloween festivities and you haven’t already decided on what vixen you will be for this year’s soiree, today’s What to Wear request is for you.
Justine writes, “Hi, so this year for Halloween the party that I chose to attend is Jungle Queen themed and I was wondering what kind of superb costume ideas you might have. I’d love to do something like Beyonce’s “Grown Woman” outfit (at the end of the video) but definitely don’t want it to be an outfit that is something like everybody else would wear from a costume factory”.
Add a few extra details with a twisted satin rope and gold detailed belt, tiger earrings, and a leopard print box clutch. False eyelashes, an exaggerated cat eyeliner, and a glitzy gold mani complete the look.
To add more feathered details, layer a BCBGMaxAzria feather collar with a gold snake choker necklace and a pair of vintage earrings. Complete the look with a snakeskin box clutch and a wood bangle set.
Punch up an embroidered mock wrap pencil skirt with a Topshop bralet in a hunter green hue and a sassy pair of shoes like a feather embellished suede and satin heel or a pair of pointed toe Zebra print pumps.
A jewel encrusted box clutch, a zebra-print high-waisted belt, and dazzling jewelry create the perfect jungle queen inspired look.
Bare a little midriff with a zebra print halter bandeau top offset by a frilly feather mini in a nude hue. Add an extra dose of luxe with a pair of over the knee boots, a Kotur Marley Snakeskin clutch, and stunningly bold accessories.
And that’ll do it! I had a lot of fun creating these style suggestions. What do you think of today’s Jungle Queen looks?
