Today I wanted to introduce you to Marazetti, a cool line of handbags, accessories, and cocktail dresses with a cause:
Founded by Fanta Kamara in 2011, Marazetti provides work to women and girls traumatized during the 14 year civil war in Liberia, training them to create and retail chic textiles. Kamara says, “My ultimate goal in life is to inspire as many young girls, to develop a passion for something, to promote, motivate, enhance their talents to the fullest and sustain a high level of confidence. I also want to promote developmental change while helping as many people as I can to a better future through passion and fashion.” The result? A collection of stylish slippers, sandals, and more, fashioned out of Ankara and Kente fabric:
I love it! It’s for a great cause and the prices are super affordable.
I see a new set of loafers in my future.
Would you rock Marazetti pieces?
