So while most of the action was going on on the runway, of course a few celebrities ventured out to basketball games and made cameos on front rows.

Let’s take a look and you tell us: were they hot or did they make you go hmm…?

Twitter was literally aflame this weekend after Usher performed at the NBA All Star Game in Arlington, Texas. For his breakout performance, he wore a vest funnyman Charlemagne the God referred to as a ‘breastplate of righteousness” along with a pair of what appears to be leather capri pants. It’s obvious from all the hot new Usher songs on the radio that single life is doing great things for him musically…but perhaps his former wife and stylist would have stopped him from wearing this fashion catastrophe. Hmm…

Alicia Keys also performed at the festivities in a black embellished top and black embellished pants fixed with a contraption that looked like a mix between suspenders and a belt. I must say I’m loving her cascade of curly tendrils, and dark eye makeup, but this outfit, yet again, gets a hmmm. Usually black is a no brainer, but Ms. Keys has somehow managed to disappoint with this particular bedazzled look.

Over back in NYC, a sultry and positively lovely Amber Rose attended Christian Siriano’s show in a form fitting turquoise blue patterned Siriano creation with matching pumps. I was so close to giving her snaps for moving past her ‘shield sunglasses’ ‘all black’ signature look until I saw pictures from the Nicole Miller show:
Sigh. Without designer sponsored outfits or her stylist Kanye at her side, it’s obvious that Amber is sort of a one trick pony. The shades, the stare, even the vest have been done and seen before. Hmm…

Sibs Angela and Diggy Simmons hit up the Charlotte Ronson show, with Angela in a black and white cut out dress, chunky jewelery, and wine colored shoes, and jetsetter Diggy in a YSL t-shirt, velvet blazer, and rockstar sunglasses. Ever the classy diva, Angela manages to look hot yet sweet even in a backless number. And I see you Diggy! We might have a new red carpet and Fashion Bomb regular from the reality TV family.

Solange Knowles also attended the Charlotte Ronson show in her signature quirky style, wearing a bold ethnic print jacket with what appears to be a corresponding kufi. While I loved the patterned jackets Solange debuted Superbowl weekend, this one doesn’t really do it for me.  The hat and the little booties seem like a throwback from 90′s hit A Different World. Solange typically manages to look fresh, new, and contemporary, but this outfit simply looks dated. Hmm…

Lastly, socialite Genevieve Jones made an appearance at the Erin Wasson + RVCA show in a striped black and white sweater and long matronly skirt. Despite her age (rumored at 37), Jones typically maintains a  young pixie-like aura. Women of a certain age should learn how to flatter their body in inventive ways instead of adding years with dowdy separates. Typically hot Geneveive gets a hmm this time around…
