Holding it down for the Cancers, Solange Knowles represents the sign in the best of ways. At 25-years-old, she’s the image of playful youth and mature confidence. The woman knows who she is. She carries herself with grace and style as a working single mother– you’ll never find her slack-eyed and panty-less in front of the club, or engaging in tasteless tweeting.
As one of the only women of color to be named “Girl of the Month” on fashion blog Who What Wear, Solange’s unique, funky-chic style even catches the eyes of Alexa Chung and obscure independent film starlet-obsessed editors.
But what we love most about Ms. Knowles (other than the way she masterfully mixes prints), is how she has managed to carve a place for herself in the pop culture and sartorial consciousnesses, even in the face of having a mega-star sister.
