Kiki e-mailed, demanding the scoop on the glasses Beyonce wore while out walking with Baby Blue:
She said, “Hello! Please tell me the designer and cost of these hot sunglasses… Thanks soo much!”
Bey uplifted a knit cap and a smile with a pair of Linda Farrow x the Row round shades:
The shades range in price from $350-$424, and can be purchased in various hues at Farfetch.com, Shopbop.com, and LindaFarrow.co.uk.
Unfortunately, it seems Beyonce’s black version is out of stock, though you can surely get a similar look with any of these options:
Saymama wrote, “Hi there! I’ve been combing the net looking for these extra large hoop earrings Beyonce just wore to the Nets/Knicks game.” “… In your Beyonce feature, you talked about everything she was wearing except the extra large hoops! Please help! The exact ones if possible or a comparable replica.”
Look no further! We hit up Beyonce’s stylist, who indicated that the songstress was wearing none other than Topshop’s $18 Oversized Flat Hoops:
The eye catching accents measure 3.5 inches in diameter, and certainly pack a Texas punch.
Get them from Topshop here.

Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles relaunched their House of Dereon line last fall with a big runway show at Selfridge’s in London. Full of party dresses, form-fitting pants, and a slew of LBDs, the collection pretty much mimicked Beyoncé’s style. The Spring 2012 lookbook for the brand has been released, and while freakum dresses still factor in heavily, there are also a variety of other wearable silhouettes at play, showing that House of Deréon just may be a brand to watch this season.
We all know colored skinnies and trousers are a big trend for Spring, and those are available in baby blue and coral in both cropped denim and high-waist pleated trouser styles. The season also calls for florals and punchy prints, which make appearances on fluid blouses, form-fitting tube tops, mini skirts, blazer lapels, and floor-sweeping maxi dresses.
Draped jumpsuits and empire waist one-shoulder dresses will definitely pop for Spring because of their functionality for many sizes, shapes, and styles.
B, Ms. Tina and co touch on all the trends here. Even cut-outs and thigh-high slits are worked in the mix.
All in all, this collection is highly wearable and dare I say it? Cute! The pricing hasn’t been released yet and the brand’s online shop is coming soon, but the collection at Selfridge’s retails for approximately $100 – $175.
Will we see Beyoncé rocking these pieces while out and about in the months to come? I certainly hope so. Celebrities like Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham are constantly seen out and about in their designs which has led to the immense success of their brands. I think Beyoncé has a strong collection here and it would be great to see her mix and match these looks with her high-fashion accessories, don’t you think?
By now we’re all familiar with Christian Louboutin‘s popular Daffodile pumps. Beyoncé’s version is covered in a geometric embroidered design. Feeling *thrifty*? They’re on sale at Barneys for $1,075.
Beyoncé reps her husband’s native Brooklyn with this cubic zarconia encrusted 22k gold plated brass Brooklyn Bridge ring. You can get it at nOir’s website.
I think Bey looks great! And props to her for rocking a pice from one of my fave jewelry lines, nOir jewelry! The girl’s got good taste!
They’re too cute! Do you love Bey’s relaxed look? Get it and some more affordable options here:
• After describing singer Adele as “a bit too fat” in a very special fashion week edition of Metro, Karl Lagerfeld is apologizing. The Chanel Creative Director told the newspaper, “I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought,” Lagerfeld told Metro. “I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.” I don’t know how the phrase “she’s a bit too fat” could have been taken out of context unless he was taking about a female house cat, but we’re all entitled to our own excuses. (Metro)
• The UK Telegraph reported last week that First Lady Michelle Obama had gone on a lavish $50,000 shopping spree at Agent Provocateur with Her Royal Highness Sheikha Moza of Qatar. Today, the publication is redacting the statements they made, admitting that the shopping trip in question never actually happened. “…we would like to make clear that the “shopping spree” involving Her Highness Sheikha Moza and Michelle Obama that we referred to in fact never occurred, and that Her Highness has never been shopping with Mrs Obama, at Agent Provocateur or otherwise, and has never sought to have any part of New York closed off to enable her to shop undisturbed. We apologise for the distress and embarrassment this article caused.” (UK Telegraph)
• Before anyone has a chance capitalize off their daughter’s name, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have filed a request to trademark the name Blue Ivy. If you remember, a man named Joseph Mbeh recently filed for rights to the name, hoping to use it for his children’s clothing company. I think it’s safe to say he can consider that request denied. (LA Times)
• For the first time in its 33-year history, drugstore makeup brand Wet ‘n’ Wild is using a celebrity to front its ad campaign. Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas is the lucky lady, and will be featured in the bargain beauty brand’s ads come late summer. At first glance, Fergie might seem like a random choice, but might actually be the perfect face for the brand, as she grew up in Hacienda Heights– the same Los Angeles neighborhood as Eric Chen, owner of Wet ‘n’ Wild parent company Markwins Beauty Products. (WWD)
• Jay-Z and Kanye West have finally released the music video for their über-popular “N**gas in Paris.” But watch at your own risk– the video could trigger seizures in those who suffer from epilepsy. (Kanye West Youtube)
• Our Lady Beysus re-emerged for a second time last night, looking hippy and more glorious than ever in a Monique Lhuillier sequined frock, Chanel purse, Gucci shoes, and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. (Beyonce Online)
• Miu Miu is releasing a limited edition collection of 46 purses, inspired by each of the major fashion capitals of the world (New York, Paris, London, Milan). The ladylike bags come in a range of materials (from croco to glitter), and will be released during the Fashion Weeks of each city. (Fashionista)
• Kanye West‘s people have confirmed that the rapper will be showing a second collection during Paris Fashion Week this season at 9:30pm on March 6th. If you remember, his fur-laden Spring 2012 collection was met with fewer positive reviews than the rapper expected. I wish him the best, but I’m a little scared we’re going to see linen and eyelet pieces when we should be seeing chunky knits and tweeds. (WWD)
• Walking in the Fall 2012 shows this season is Wilhelmina Models‘s own Fashionette, a glorious goddess standing at 5’10″ with a 22″ waist. Chanel Iman might be named after two fashion icons, but this girl Fashionette is fashion. Say what you want about black girls with “unique” names (I am one,) but I am loving this girl entirely right now. Just so you know, her full name is: Chablis Supreme Fashionette Morrison. You could only wish to have a name so chic. (Fashin)
• Jenny Packham announced that she will (finally!) be releasing a lower-priced capsule collection to be available exclusively at Debenhams. No.1 Jenny Packham consists of 19 dresses (for day and evening), an accessories collection, and children’s wear. The capsule will be available at 128 Debenhams stores, none of which (unfortunately) exist in the United States. Prices range from £85 to £160 (or, $135 to $254). (Daily Mail)
Ruler’s back! Beyoncé Knowles emerged for the first time since she gave birth to her first child, Blue Ivy Carter, last month. Last night, she attended the first of two concerts hubby Jay-Z is doing at Carnegie Hall to benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and the United Way. For the occasion, the singer and new mommy chose a $445 red ruched 3/4 length sleeve dress from Alice by Temperley‘s Cruise 2011 collection, a $1,450 Alexander McQueen skull clasp clutch, and $2,795 Christian Louboutin embroidered pumps.
She rounded out the look with a pair of good hoops, a textured gold bangle, and, of course, freshly manicured blue nails.
Her Cruise 2011 collection Molina dress has front ruching to conceal any post pregnancy bumps:
Her ‘Bollywood’ pumps boast multiple multicolored beads and embellishments:
What can I say? The woman looks ah-mazing. Nursing bra, be damned! These second and third-rate divas better get some galoshes, because Ms. Knowles is making it rain up in here! Hair, makeup, outfit, accessories, Spanx: flawless.
What do you think?
