Theophilus London and Karl Lagerfeld make up the latest in music/fashion collaborations. The musician has tapped the designer to art direct the entirety of his upcoming Vibezz album. So far the pair have announced that Lagerfeld shot both the first single cover as well as the album cover. In the “Tribes” single cover, Theophilus wears a Dior jacket. (StyleBlazer)
Yves Carcelle, the man behind recruiting Marc Jacobs to Louis Vuitton, has died at the age of 66. The former Louis Vuitton CEO battled with cancer but also served at Vuitton for two decades. It is because of him that the brand is now an international brand, known just as much for its clothes as it is for its bags. (Business of Fashion)
Rebecca Minkoff is one of the latest names to hit up wearable technology. At her New York Fashion Week show, the designer will debut accessories that double as USB caves and notification devices that sync with cell phones. Prices will range from $40 to $120; you can expect products to go on sale this month at both Nordstrom and on Minkoff’s website. (WWD)
Looks like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop got gooped. The company is being sued for naming one of their columns the “Diet Detective” which has “grievously injured” a web site of the same name. While things are up in the air, Charles Platkin, who owns DietDetective.com, says he’d be OK with settling if Goop stops using the name and apologizes. (NY Post)
The latest expansion into the Kardashian empire is haircare. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are about to start selling hairspray, blow-dry cream, curl cream, Black Seed Dry Oil, dry shampoo and conditioner as well as mousse, all branded with the Kardashian name and priced between $14 and $17. Even styling tools like a flatiron, a three-in-one-tool, and a blowdryer will be available, all at $90 each (The Fashion Spot)
