News broke only yesterday that the model, who has walked runways for the likes of Zac Posen, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Vivienne Westwood, had gone missing, reportedly last seen at XVI Lounge in New York City. • Next spring, the Fashion Institute of Technology will put on an exhibit focused on five designers who helped define the style of the late Lauren Bacall. Having started as a model before she was the actress many came to know her as, Bacall was discovered by Diana Vreeland.  “She was the opposite of Marilyn Monroe’s overt sexuality, yet she still oozed sensuality out of every pore,” designer Peter Som said. “The clothes are so simple and so chic, and they still feel today so relevant.” The exhibit will feature looks from Marc Bohan for Christian Dior, Piere Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent and Ungaro.
