Amongst her four looks at last night’s MTV VMA Awards, rapper Nicki Minaj had a much tweeted wardrobe mishap. When she appeared in her third look to perform “Bang Bang,” the star was clutching her black dress to keep everything in place. “We ran out of time getting the dressed zipped up,” the YMCMB artist explained. Even though the Black Pack from Rita Ora and adidas Originals is just getting here, the two are already teasing their Pastel Pack. In new images from the brand, Ora sports a pink and black short sweat suit that has slightly translucent black sleeves. Shorn pink hair and her signature bold red lip complete the look. With their latest editor-in-chief having defected to Yahoo Health, Women’s Health magazine is on the hunt for a new boss. While things will be managed by the publication’s co-executive editor Amy Keller Laird in the interim, the publication is hoping to move quickly in naming a successor. Of the hopefuls, the Rodale-owned glossy is considering Laird, Meaghan Murphy(executive editor of Good Housekeeping), and Tara Parker Pope of the New York Times, according to sources. Tapping a rival editor from Shape is “not going to happen” according to reports. (WWD)
Beauty is big business for large-scale luxury brands and Nepalese designer Prabal Gurung hopes to bite off his fair share. Starting with his MAC collaboration, out November 26th, the designer hopes to eventually build a thriving beauty business with cosmetics and even fragrances as components. No word yet on if the prices will be on par with the $30 lipsticks and $70 bronzing powder he’s doing for MAC. (StyleBlazer)
