Hey all! Summer is in full swing, and along with it came this near unbearable heat. But Mother Nature had some stiff competition when going up against these celebs who brought that fire!
There were quite a few who had us slain in the sartorial spirit, while others…not so much. Let’s take a look!
Kicking off things this week is the ever-enchanting Beyonce. King Bey hit the stage in Philadelphia this weekend during her and Jay-Z’s “On The Run” tour. Noted for her many costume changes, this custom Michael Costello black lace bodysuit was a definite standout. I have no words other than complete and utter perfection.
Kim Kardashian-West was spotted in the Hamptons while wearing a white And Re Walker dress and a pair of Azzedine Alaia Embellished Suede sandals. Indeed, a cute day time look, despite the “va-va-voom” aesthetic, but we wouldn’t mind a little color, Kimmy.
Sister, Khloe Kardashian celebrated her birthday this weekend at Tao Las Vegas in a sequined Michael Costello minidress and $625 Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps. The dress fit her frame perfectly, not to mention how well it photographed on the red carpet. Beachy, ombre hair and a nude lip pulled this hot look together!
In New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival, celebs came out in droves: most notably Angela Simmons. The beauty wore a white T-shirt, a gray wrap skirt an a pair of Kandee Shoes studded platform heels. Though I must admit, my appreciation for most things studded, especially heels, has declined substantially, I can’t help but love these ones. And can we talk about this lustrous mane for a minute?
Michelle WIlliams hit the stage at the Essence Music Festival wearing rather voluminous fuschia skirt by Deanzign (Angela Dean) and an Ina Soltani leather jacket. Hmm… while the skirt was very eye-catching, all that volume on stage, under lights, during a performance…in a very hot New Orleans didn’t sit comfortably with me. She looked good, but perhaps this look would’ve worked better for another occasion.
Elle Varner took to “Nawlins” as well soaking in the heat while sauntering down the pavement. Dressed in all black, despite this look’s simplicity, she still manages to skew 90’s chic with a modern vibe. Work!
And last, but not least, is June Ambrose, kickin’ it on her friend’s farm during the weekend. The celeb stylist kept things super-casual in a Zara jersey dress, $250 Converse x Maison Martin Margiela sneakers and a Lola fedora. June’s cool vibe is effortless and translates so well in whatever she’s wearing. No wonder she’s a Rockmom. I like!
That’s it for this week’s round up. What say you?
