For her first interview since the elevator incident, Solange Knowles speaks very little of what transpired between her and Jay Z, her brother in law, on that fated Met Gala night. In the August issue of Lucky, which she covers, the singer says “What’s important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.” It’s typical of the Knowles-Carter family to stay cage-y about personal matters, so I guess we’ll all have to just wonder what happened. In the meanwhile, Solange’s next album is out this Fall. (StyleBlazer)

In a recent London performance, Kanye West was booed once he started to go on a characteristic rant about celebrity and race based discrimination. Interrupting his song “Runaway” at a show during London’s Wireless Festival, the artist name drops Nike, Louis Vuitton and the Gucci Group — now known as Kering. “ I’m just saying don’t discriminate against me because I’m a black man or because I’m a celebrity and tell me that I can create but not feel. ‘Cause you know damn well there aren’t no black guys or celebrities making no Louis Vuitton nothing.” West went on to talk about how his partnership with Vuitton came to an end — as he’s explained many times before — and how big business seeks to control him. What do you think of his latest outburst? (Rolling Stone)
Apple has hired yet another fashion industry executive, again from LVMH. Jean-Claude Biver, Tag Heuer’s Vice President of Sales, has decamped to the tech brand in order to “launch the iWatch“. LVMH executives apparently don’t feel ill will towards Biver, as he went to a technology brand as opposed to another luxury watch brand. (CNBC)
