Tracy Reese does femininity and whimsical dresses like no other, but she sought to add a bit more 70′s flair to the lineup of her latest Resort collection. Ranging from colorblock frocks to leopard print culottes, the assortment was steeped in functionality, playing with one of this season’s go-to motifs thus far: the butterfly.
The winged creature took artful forms including the beautiful caped back of a mint green, curve-hugging dress, dialed down into a life-sized print on a solid-back sheath, in the same pattern on a flowing maxi dress with a thigh-high front slit, and on a zip-front top with the motif in an oversize colorful iteration.
A taste of the exotic came by way of a colorblock fur-hem coat, a v-neck python and leopard print number, a pencil skirt in the same feral mix, and a zip-front jacket and culotte combo serving up the same skin-inspired blend.
The aforementioned python underwent a classic rendition when juxtaposed against stripes on knee-skimming frocks and an office-appropriate button-front blouse, as well as in denim on a cropped jacket and the silhouette of the season — the 70′s chic culotte.
Last, but not least were Reese’s signature florals on pieces that could certainly work for a movie premiere or another stylish red carpet affair.
What do you think of the latest from Tracy Reese?
