If you’re a big fan of Coach, now under the creative direction of Stuart Vevers, we have a bit of bad news for you: the company plans to close 70 full-price stores by the first half of the 2015 fiscal year. As they undergo a bit of transformation, those closures will be complimented with a revamp of its outlet business. For those locations that do get to stick around, there are a slate of renovations in store that will begin to roll out in November. (WWD)
So now that he’s had some time to think about it, Kanye West actually wants to sort of revise that statement he made about Annie Leibovitz bailing on he and Kim’s wedding. According to West, his words “have been taken out of context and sensationalized.” Since then, Annie and Kanye have together released a statement saying “Kanye and Annie’s representatives were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding.” Annie’s own reps said “Annie would have been happy to do the portrait, but she was never confirmed.” We’re not sure what all is going on here but as my great-grandmother used to say: something in the water ain’t clean. In addition to debuting pieces from his collection, Pharrell had some more good news this week! The producer was picked to be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame amongst names like Will Ferrell, Sofia Vergara, and Pitbull. Congrats, Skateboard P! (ABC)
