It seems more than a few designers are taking notes from the 90’s, and Nasir Mazhar is no exception. For Spring 2015, he took a page out of Tommy Hilfiger’s notebook, splashing his name across elastic waistbands, short hems, and sleeves.
Gilded baroque fabrics were spliced with sold swaths of black, definitely giving the showing a more modern feel.
I can actually see this collection working for both women and men. Rihanna has already been spied in a Mazhar ensemble, and her fans will undoubtedly follow suit. I’d also love to see someone like French Montana try a sweatshirt/short combo on for size.
