Happy Monday everyone!
June is finally here, which means Summer is right around the corner.
Celebs were spotted at a number of places this weekend including the French Open, Huading Film Awards in LA, and the Seventh Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey. Looks ranged from simple and chic in neutral hues to high-octane glamour in floor-length ballgowns.
Let’s get right into the weekend’s ensembles!
Prince took in the French Open with his glorious afro, mirror-lens aviators, and a navy tunic layered over a white turtleneck. We’re truly not worthy! I would really love to play in his closet one day…
Halle Berry accepted the Global Icon Awards at the Huading Film Awards in LA. She took it back more than a decade, slipping on a black floral-embroidered gown with a lace-detailed thigh-high slit from Elie Saab’s Spring 2003 Couture collection. I love when celebrities dig into the archives. Hot!
You know I live for Lucy Liu’s style, thus I was thrilled to see her at the awards show in a strapless navy Carolina Herrera number with gold embroidery. Wasn’t she stunning?
Jordana Brewster accepted the Best Global Movie of the Year Award for Fast & Furious 6 for the night in a white gown with a cropped overlay top and silver embellished flowing skirt from Philosophy’s Spring 2014 assortment.
Rihanna was spotted at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2014 before gearing up for her big night at the CFDA Awards. The songstress kept it simple in her favorite $1,080 DYLANLEX Falkor II Necklace, Venus x Mars Spock Sweatshirt, $369 Buck Rogers Sweatpants from the brand, and Manolo Blahnik Chaos Sandals. Sweatpants never looked this chic!
At the Seventh Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Carly Cushnie threw a white blazer over her shoulders, contrasting with her cutout LBD from Cushnie et Ochs and black triple strap sandals. Simply fabulous.
Before hopping on the MTA, Mariah Carey went glam at the Fresh Air Fund Gala in an Atelier Versace powder blue embellished gown. Hmm…the dress is nice, but I have no idea what caused her to slip on those silver metallic fingerless gloves. Very few people besides Karl Lagerfeld and bikers can make those work MiMi!
Chrissy Teigen kept it simple in a contrast-lapel blazer, shorts, and suede sandals at the “Pledge. Drink. Win.” Campaign Event at the MLB Fan Cave.
While traipsing through LAX Airport, Jessica Alba kept it casual in a pair of $138 House of Harlow 1960 Carmen Sunglasses, a $198 Three Dots Kimono Wrap, graphic t-shirt, $128 French Connection Santa Fe Drape Trousers, $150 Yosi Samra Preslie Perforated Loafers, and a $1,439 Narciso Rodriguez Trapezoid Duffel. Great travel look!
Maggie Q uplifted an all-black ensemble with edgy zip-accented leather pants and a printed coat at The Legend of Shep Gordon Screening.
It was all about simplicity for Naturi Naughton on Extra, where she donned a blush pink sheath dress and white pumps. She looked fab — glad to see her back in action!
Becoming Mary Jane actress Robin Lee tried floral print on for size at the Step Up 11th Annual Inspiration Awards.
