On the Scene: The 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner
By Faith

The place to be last night was the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner! A slew of stylish ladies showed up in their most glamorous attire with embellishment, embroidery, cutouts, and body-skimming silhouettes taking centerstage.
Let’s see what our most stylish stars sported for the night!

I could only find a glimpse of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Marchesa Fall 2013 off-the-shoulder embroidered chiffon gown, but there’s no doubt that the entire thing was beautiful.

It was all about polka dots for Lupita Nyong’o who stunned in an Oscar de la Renta peplum bodice-gown in the classic print. The dress’s skirt needed a bit more tailoring, but it was a great look nonetheless.

Sofia Vergara was gilded in a Romona Keveza Spring 2014 strapless gown with a gold metallic bodice and blush pink skirt. Hot!

Thakoon made a metallic cutout gown specially for Freida Pinto for the occasion. Simply stunning.

I live for each and every Olivia Munn red carpet moment and her J. Mendel Spring 2014 lace paneled number was breathtaking. Definitely one of my favorite looks of the night!

Irina Shayk stood out in an Atelier Versace cape blouse and trousers.

Jessica Simpson was Spring-perfect in a $6,990 Carolina Herrera Strapless Belted Rose Print Ball Gown. Gorgeous!

Our TV FLOTUS Bellamy Young followed Sofia’s lead, donning a strapless draped gown from Romona Keveza’s Spring 2014 collection. Isn’t she divine?

Bellamy’s Scandal co-star Katie Lowes also sported red in a form-fitting strapless Mason gown. Lovely!

Katharine McPhee was pretty in pink in an embellished Paule Ka confection. I loved the pops of red with her accessories, but I wasn’t too keen on the dress’s length.

The Good Wife actress Julianna Margulies gave her vintage Jean Dessés design a pop of color with red lips. I’m always here for vintage on the red carpet.

VEEP star Julia Louis-Dreyfus opted for a crystal-embellished bodice Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2013 gown. She’s never looked better!

Someone had to wear Zuhair Murad so why not Orange Is The New Black actress Taylor Schilling? Her navy lace-inset gown was fabulous.

Anne V wore a cutout-detailed KaufmanFranco gown.

I love Lupita’s dress and I wish I could see a full shot of the ever so elegant Michelle Obama.

  2. Xi Xi Topp says:

I don’t like Lupita’s dress BUT that face can save any awful look. I thought Taylor Schilling was Kate Winslet for a sec, she looks lovely. Irina’s look would’ve been perfect if it didn’t have so much cleavage. Bellamy & Anne V were serving 10s tho.

  3. fav1 says:

everyone looks absolutely stunning! I only wish Sofia Vergara wore a different hair style.

  4. Anita says:

    Everyone looks fabulous!

  5. Ayana says:

Almost everyone looked great! Wish I could a full body shot of Mrs. O! i know she looked good!

  6. Kahalia says:

    FLOTUS for the win!

  7. Kim says:

Bellamy, Lupita, and Mrs. O (in that order). I also liked Katie Lowes.
