Topshop and Adidas are two of the most talked-about and shopped brands in the market right now, thus it only made sense that they would come together for a collaboration: Topshop x Adidas Originals. Comprised of twenty pieces, the collection effortlessly embodies the sportswear brand’s iconic signatures while incorporating the high-street label’s youthful exuberance, with statement-making footwear to boot.
Adidas’s classic logo, triple stripe pattern, and athletic-inspired track jackets, sweats, and shelltops are uplifted by Topshop’s London landscape prints.
Of the collaboration, Topshop Creative Director Kate Pheland said, “Topshop and Adidas Originals working together is a total celebration of the greatness of fashion and sportswear and how important and influential they are to each other.”
She continued, “We wanted to bring some femininity to the range and make the collection fit with all your fashion staples; the beauty is in how you combine it together. We’re in a sportswear revolution at the moment. Fashion is really driven by what’s happening in the sportswear world, it’s at the top of the radar in the fashion stakes — so to have Adidas Originals as a starting point was fantastic.”
I’ll be picking up the footwear, as a sporty chic woman like myself can never go wrong with a pair of printed high-tops.
With prices ranging from $43 for a logo tank to approximately $133 for the most elaborately-printed kicks, purchasing a piece or two from the collection won’t break the bank.
Topshop x Adidas Originals hits stores and online on March 20th.
What will you be picking up from the collection?
