Oh yes! It’s been a minute, but we’re back in full effect with our favorite Real Style feature: How Do You Wear It? . In anticipation of warmer temps, we asked for submissions showcasing how you rock the Spring 2014 crop top trend, and deliver you did.
Let’s get straight into it shall we?
@Accoding2Trish of the blog FashionAccordingtotheMenu.com said, “This is how I rock the crop top trend. I’m a woman with a larger chest and I find that when I wear crop tops it makes me look a bit top heavy, so I wore a full skirt with this top to give my bottom half a little more volume as to balance out the look. This “crop top” is actually a asymmetrical cardigan that I wore backwards.” Cute and creative!
@Friendswithvintage says, “A crop top, satin pants, a vintage brooch…and just a hint of skin. That’s how I wear this season’s crop top trend.” Werk that!
Kwaniece aka @Sincerely_KayJ played with texture and posed for her life in a sequined top and satin like emerald green skirt. Nude pumps and sunnies pumped up her look.
Nichole aka @nicholealabi of the blog NicholeAlibi.com rocked a bare midriff and sported an H&M crop top with Levis 501s, Patrick Ewing Hi-tops, and a Louis Vuitton clutch. Tomboy chic to the fullest!
Lara @laranuga worked neon pumps and a figure flattering striped midi skirt. Fun mirrored sunnies added to her sartorial mix.
@kerrilove opted for a fitted denim skirt, black sandals and gold hoops and necklace for a casual yet cute take on the trend. Adorbs!
Inspired by a Kim Kardashian all white ensemble, @Msmanche rocked a feminine fit accented with gold sandals and cool sunnies.
@MelangeMode rocked her black cropped top with a gorgeous African print maxi skirt. I’m just a tad obsessed with said skirt by the way!
Kim, a stylist and blogger at Lights Fashion Dillinger was surely midriff ready. She rocked a black top and blazer, distressed jeans, and a pair of ankle boots accented by a bold gold necklace with edgy blonde tresses to round out her look.
How cute is Tash @tash1k ? Plaid pants, nude pumps, a necklace and cute clutch all combine for a pretty fab casual chic combo.
Sasha of ShairStyle paired a pastel colored cropped sweater with a white lace skirt and pink and silver flats.
And lastly, Janet aka @_MsJPetite_ of the blog Posh N’ Petite said, “Even though crop tops are considered spring/summer items, I feel like you can wear them year round if you style them the right way. I paired my top with printed pants, a blazer, and a red scarf to add a pop of color!” Cute!
