I wasn’t too jazzed with my Day 4 outfit, so blogged it on The Bomb Life!
But for day five, I felt fab (albeit a bit frozen) in a 3.1 Phillip Lim Nueva York Tank, Givenchy Ruffled Skirt, and Saint Laurent zip booties:
I kept nominally warm in a Theory Biker Jacket, and accessorized with Grey Ant sunnies, a Kenneth Jay Lane starburst necklace, and a Casshimi clutch.
I have to mix and match items in my wardrobe! I wore the 3.1 Phillip Lim tank with all white before, but decided to go with darker tones for a rocker look this go round.
I gotta be honest: despite my shirt’s message, I wasn’t loving New York yesterday. My photographer and I had a time getting a cab in the Meatpacking district, with shady cabbies ignoring our outstretched hands to drive up to fairer skinned customers, one of whom, in one instance, wasn’t even looking for a cab! We finally got a cab because I told a very compassionate lady, “Please, they won’t pick us up because we’re black.” But hey, that’s New York. Love it or leave it.
On that note, I’m headed to London on Friday. Am I prepared? Not at all. But stay tuned for more of my fashion week moments from across the pond.
*I actually had a pretty eventful night last night! I popped by the En Noir show (review to come), hit up Angela Simmons’s presentation, then went to a dinner for Nick Cannon hosted by Bleu Magazine!
