Fall 2014 New York Fashion Week has begun! First up in the season’s collections is Thakoon Addition. Since the brand’s inception in December 2008, it has made great strides in its style offerings: now expanded to include everything from flirty dresses to heavy-duty outerwear. For Fall, Panigchul plays with prints, classics, and varying hemlines, all given a tousled spin. Femininity and masculinity are effortlessly juxtaposed along with hard and soft textures.
Polka dots give a whimsical yet timeless spin to belted knits, seamed flare skirts, an office-appropriate suit, empire-waist sweater dress, and more. The brand also experiments with plaids and stripes, as is requisite for the transitional season.
Layering is at an all-time high with button-front blouses kicking off looks under knit cropped sweaters, anchored with roomy trousers and leather boots. Loop-knit toppers continue the commitment to warmth, while frocks and sweaters thrown over skinnies and mini dresses give us all ideas on how to get more wear out of what we currently have in our closets this season as Winter marches on in real-time.
Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Hailee Steinfeld have gravitated towards the label’s printed confections in the past, but so much of fashion has become much simpler and pared-down since then. I think all three of these ladies will look stellar in a strapless jumpsuit, as well as some of the gam-baring mini skirts. The looks will still make fierce fashion statements with bombshell hair and killer accessories.
