Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Attend The Kardashian Christmas Bash

• Kanye West is hard at work campaigning for a Vogue cover for his boo Kim Kardashian. The rapper allegedly met with Anna Wintour again, demanding an explanation as to why she saw it fit to put Girls‘s Lena Dunham on the February issue, while Kim has yet to be given her moment in the sun. According to a source, Kanye says that Kim is  “just as talented as Lena, if not more so.” They gave no information as to what Kim’s superior talents actually are, but I’m sure appearing on a reality show and “designing” affordable clothing with your sisters is far more challenging than writing, directing, and starring in your own award-winning television series. This source also says that Wintour is thinking about getting Kim on a foreign iteration of the Fashion Bible, but isn’t too keen on the idea of her gracing the American version.  Hmm. I wish Kerry Washington had someone this hell-bent on getting her a Vogue cover! Nnamdi, it’s time to step up! (Radar)

J.Crew January Style Guide

• Yesterday, we reported that J.Crew boss Mickey Drexler was planning on lowering the steep price points the store has become known for. Drexler promised “friendlier” (which we, and… everyone else assumed meant lower) prices coming this spring, but J.Crew has come out today to clarify the CEO’s words: “We are simply maintaining a balance of pricing across the board and better communicating to our customers what we have and why it is worth the price it is,” Womp. “Emphasis for us is always on the quality and design at best possible price.” So, they’re instead going to try to convince us that paying $112 for a cotton popover with a couple plastic jewels sewed on the collar is totally reasonable because… it’s from J.Crew? Color me disappointed! (Vogue UK)

Karlie Kloss Show Package FW 14

• We’re likely to see Karlie Kloss grace a runway or two in a few days at New York Fashion Week, but don’t expect her to appear in any ‘ol show. IMG’s show package came out just Tuesday, and while Kloss did make their roster this season, she’s noted as only being available “by special arrangement.” I’m not 100% sure what that means, I’m guessing we won’t be seeing that much of Ms. Kloss on the runway, and when we do, it will likely be in shows for her designer BFF’s. So maybe Michael Kors? Kloss told Vanity Fair that she’s been excluded from shows before because the designers said she was “too famous” and her celebrity would take attention away from the clothes. Perhaps this is the case here. Either way, I’m curious to see who she does walk for. (Fashionista)

barneys brothers and sisters spring 2014 campaign

Barneys New York’s spring campaign will feature 17 transgendered men and women, all photographed in black and white by Bruce Weber. The ads will appear in a portfolio style, as opposed to the usual mailer the retailer sends out. Titled “Brothers, Sisters, Sons, and Daughters” the campaign also tells the stories of each subject, penned by Vanity Fair contributing editor Patricia Bosworth. Barneys creative director Dennis Freedman explained  his decision to use trans models for this campaign: “…such extraordinary progress has been made in the last few years for the lesbian, gay and bisexual community, but it’s striking how the transgender community has been left behind. It’s disturbing and upsetting to see that.” (WWD)

  1. Joslyn says:

Something tells me Kanye is pushing so hard for Kim to cover American Vogue to prove he has clout and later rap about it in one of his rants.

  2. CC says:

I hope that woman never gets on that magazine.

  3. k says:

CC that makes two of us

  4. Katie says:

That’s why I only buy J.crew on sale. The designs are hot though and their cashmere is totally worth it to me. I know if I buy clothing from them I won’t go around looking like a thot.

  5. Anonymous says:

@CC @K that makes three of us.

  6. Lila says:

that kardashian lady looks just like that gay bff of hers (Jonathan “something” or another) #PlasticFacesOfTheWorldUnite…into one

  7. Sarai says:

Is Kane squinting like a 13 yr old girl posing for Instagram?

  8. Anonymous says:

@CC, K and Anonymous that makes 4 of us!

  9. MJay says:

Barney’s is clearly doing damage control. We didn’t forget about their racial profiling issues.
In other news I’m going to have to agree with @CC, K and Anonymous 1&2 about Kim on the cover of Vogue!

  10. really disgusted says:

Ok…. I don’t get it, why does Kim deserve to be on the cover of Vogue??? What exactly does she do that gives her the right to be on the most respectable fashion magazines in the world??? She has no talent. She’s not really fashionable. She’s only famous because of her sex tape and a$$. I truly hope Anna Wintour has better sense than that.
Its really sad that young girls are looking up to this chick and aspiring to “Kardashian” their way up in life. Really sad.

  11. d says:

@lila yup they do look alike, and add nyra rivera to that list, shes looking plastic like them.
    @sarai kanye is smizing. Lol

  12. marguerite says:

on Kim – is kanye really doing that? is that forreal? Kim is a celebrity joke. The kids love her and buy her cheap goods and make her who she is. I don’t know of one adult who is checkin for that girl.

on J Crew – J Crew is a glorified version of the Gap/Banana Republic w/ high ass prices. The clothing is too basic for me for those prices. I’d rather shop at Barneys if i’m going to pay an arm an a leg.

  13. The truth says:

Agree with CC, K, et al.

  14. MB says:

I don’t believe this story one bit. How in the hell does Radaronline know what Kanye & Anna talked about over lunch? The tabloids keep recycling this story and people keep believing it. It just so happens that Lena Dunham was on the most recent cover of Vogue and the tabloids wants you to believe that Kanye was upset about it? No, I don’t believe this story.

  15. mw0728 says:

And what would be so wrong with Kim being on the cover of vogue? Last i checked vogue is a fashion magazine not a how talented are you magazine. Its about FASHION and KIM K has more style and fashion then most celebrities out. Shes always on point and shes a trendsetter. Any of you who have commented would only be jealous haters if you dont agree. She slays all the time. So i say vogue should give her chance cause after all they have had less fashionable people on their covers in the past!!

  16. Lola Reggy says:

If Kanye really said it, which I think suits him just perfectly, why doesn’t he keep quiet. Such a big mouth always, hush boy! Wanna see that campaign Bruce Weber shot for Barney’s, curious about that!

  17. Ncumi says:

“Kim is “just as talented as Lena, if not more” Really Kanye? Really?
