Love this soo much. I hope these women were properly compensated for the use of their images. The glasses are superb! The second photo and frames are my favorite

If they were paid for their work, then yes! That second pic is way too cute.

I adored every single shot but especially the 2nd shot of the elder. I’m just like having butterflies right now.

Loved that most of these women were either natural or had their hair in braids.

This is an absolute wonderful shoot. Love!

Dont be so quick to be satisfied by the bread that is put in your hand, take a look some time who’s feeding it to you.

Kenyan people are beautiful, tell me what they stand to gain from this.

  15. bebe says:

“aims to promote sustainable business over aid dependency and, as such, Walker tasked some of Kenya’s finest micro-producers, designers and artisans with designing and producing an array of pouches to be sold with every pair from her latest eyewear range.”

We have no idea what happened behind the scenes of this ad. To make any assumptions and call this “exploitation” is judgement and a bit harsh at that. How do we know there arent female artists who’s art was purchased in exchange? How bout these women just wanted the exposure?

  17. Anonymous says:

    Thanks Bebe.
    That’s what I thought. Geez.

  18. Nayshi Brown says:

These pics are very unique. Great eye. Where can we purchase them?

  19. Ivie says:

Exploitation? Why do Africans always have to be victims? Smh. This is nice different and real unpolished and unedited. #genius

  20. Chic says:

    So beautiful!

  21. Simply gorgeous. Just stunning.

  22. Hmmmmm says:

    Love the realness!

  23. Elle Wills says:

Look what Lupita has done! We’re in vogue ladies.

  24. Ana says:

  25. above-par says:

I’m here for this, but the first three! yass lawd!

  26. Lola Reggy says:

I agree with the very first two comments, if they were reasonably paid for this and not taken advantage off I say A big YES with capitals!!
