Heralded as one of the fastest growing consumer markets, Lagos is full of fashionable, ambitious, affluent, and fabulous folks. Take a look at a sliver of the country’s glitteratti here, here, and here. (Paper Magazine)

Burberry‘s in a little bit of trouble today after reports that their children’s clothes contain harmful chemicals. Greenpeace tested 82 garments from brands like Disney, American Apparel, H&M, and Burberry to see if any were tainted, including the violet metallic button down Romeo Beckham is wearing in the label’s Spring 2013 ads.  Apparently, the shirt in question contained high levels of nonylphenol ethoxylates, which are often used in detergents. Sounds okay, right? Wrong. These chemicals can change into toxic nonylphenols, which can screw with your hormones. Definitely not something you want for a growing kid! Burberry released a statement to assure consumers that their clothing is OK to wear: “All Burberry products are safe and fully adhere to international environmental and safety standards,” they said. “We have an active programme dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our supply chain, working in collaboration with our suppliers and NGOs. Greenpeace is aware of our work, which includes the commitment to eliminate from our supply chain the release of chemicals that have an environmental impact.” Hmm… science doesn’t lie, though. It might be time for Burberry to pay closer attention to how they’re manufacturing their clothes. (Vogue UK)

Sarah Jessica Parker is hitting the road to promote her forthcoming SJP shoe line. She will appear at  Nordstrom stores in NYC, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Chicago, and Seattle from February 28th to March 9th. Here in NYC, she’ll set up a pop-up shop where you can shop the collection alongside Carrie Bradshaw herself. (WWD)

viktor rolf bonbon

Viktor & Rolf is releasing a new fragrance in March called Bonbon, set to debut in the label’s Paris boutique, at Selfridges, and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, before hitting stateside stores in April. The gormand-based fragrance housed in a bow-shaped bottle includes notes of caramel, orange blossom, jasmine, peach, and sandalwood. Bonbon will be available in 30, 50, and 100mL versions, which will set you back $79, $117, and $149, respectively. Viktor & Rolf asked another duo to lens the accompanying campaign, tapping Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin to photograph model Edita Vilkeviciute, naked, save for pink bows painted across her body.  (WWD)

• Outfit me in a Prada dress, and no one is touching me all night. No, really, I would not allow anyone to physically touch me while I’m rocking such expensive gear, for fear of a high dry cleaning bill, or that the garment might rip. But when you’re rich, famous, and can get Prada dresses for free, such issues don’t’ concern you. Just ask Carey Mulligan, who dished on how she ruined her mini kitchen utensil-embellished Prada gown after the 2010 Oscars: “I got drunk at the end of the night and started ripping them off and giving them as presents to people, so that was fun. I’m pretty sure that was the point of it, that’s how Miuccia meant for it to go.” Or… maybe she meant for it to be returned in tact? (Vogue)

• Because it’s Friday, please check out this adorable video of six-year-old Hudson Kroenig giving Karl Lagerfeld the pink slip from the house of Chanel. Apparently Cara Delevingne put him up to it, and the results are hilarious. (Instagram)
