On the Scene: The 2013 British Fashion Awards
By Faith

The 2013 British Fashion Awards just wrapped up in London, with some of our favorite musicians, supermodels, and actresses in attendance.

Let’s get into the evening’s looks!

Rita Ora was the consummate blonde bombshell in a strapless Vivienne Westwood gown. Hot!

Tinie Tempah opted for an expertly-tailored Burberry velvet suit. I’m always here for Mr. Tempah. Always.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was the lady in red an Antonio Berardi suit, Christian Louboutin pumps, and Anita Ko jewelry. Fab no?

It was all about perforated leather for supermodel Kate Moss who gave her LBD a pop of color with red lips.

Donatella Versace is one of the best brand ambassadors there is and she served total ferocity in a Versace gown.

Caroline Issa showed a bit of collarbone in perforated pieces. Cute!

Sienna Miller went bold for the night with rocker chic colored hair and an emerald Burberry gown. Hmm…this missed the mark for me and I’m usually such a big fan of Sienna’s style.

Suki Waterhouse was a vision in a lavender lace Burberry gown. She’s been killing it on the red carpet lately!

I’m such a cougar for this, but…I have a crush on Harry Styles! The One Direction band member kept it simple in a black blazer and trousers, accented with a sheer shirt and skinny scarf.

Alexa Chung sported a Stella McCartney strapless LWD. Cute!

It was all about prints for Poppy Delevingne in an Emilia Wickstead frock.

Marc Jacobs actually suited up for the occasion alongside Ms. Chung.

A floral print and lace Erdem number was Clemence Poesy’s choice for the awards show. Simply chic.

Natalie Massenet is faithful to Alessandra Rich designs: can you blame her? She paired a white lace dress from the brand with $324 Nicholas Kirkwood Rose Embellished Suede Sandals.

Hayley Atwell couldn’t be missed in a Holly Fulton getup.

Lily Donaldson looked every bit the model in Marc Jacobs.

Designer Giles Deacon had a bit of fun with plaid pants and gold-accented loafers.

I loved Henry Holland’s printed suit for the night!

That’s all folks! Who had your favorite look of the night?

  2. Anonymous says:

Yes to Rita! Tinie always looks the same. Where were all the black celebs? My fellow Black Brits, it’s time we set up our own s**t just like our people over in America.

  3. chi chi says:

Clemence wins it for me. Her edginess and chic shines through every time. Love her. ALexa Chung’s skin looks flawless. Sienna, NO.

  4. MynameisPeaches! says:

@Anonymous I wonder where the black celebs were, obviously nowhere to be found. You could be forgiven for thinking you are on the Daily Mail online because it’s such a vanilla post. Sigh.

  5. Claire says:

@MynameisPeaches How would we look, as a fashion site, if we didn’t cover the British Fashion Awards?

  6. fashionable rudy says:

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tho litterally KILLED it!! Rita looks cute.

  7. Cinderella says:

Whats going on with Kate Moss though?

  8. Regis says:

@Claire I love all your post, Claire.

  9. Anonymous says:

I’m still not sure who Rita Ora is, but I wish she’d go away. Her hair is terrible.

  10. KBS says:

Rosie is killing it. Everything is done right including the face she is serving.

Now, why do Kate Moss’ knees look like empty Dollar Tree brand sandwich bags? Anyone?

  11. JayMilz says:

I love Caroline Issa -her style is impeccable and she looks cute here!

Tinie Tempah never does it for me, living in London myself i find he is always praising and uplifting white girls and I’m not a fan of that, (no disrespect to Claire as i love your blog) but I’m really not supporting men like that.

@Anonymous 4.30 AM, here here when it comes to setting up our own stuff just like Americans do, because in London it seems like you need a white backer just to get by. Our events for example the MOBO’s that’s been commodified and white washed and every black artists including Tinie Tempah needing to collaborate with a white person to be accepted.
@Anonymous 11.15 am i wish she would go away too , she just doesn’t do it for me.
