Fashion fodder and faithfuls gathered at the The Fashion Group International’s 30th Annual Night of Stars, wearing an ample selection of head turning garments.
Take a look at who came through and what they wore:
Tongue wagging exhibitionist Miley Cyrus toned it down for the festivities, shimmering in a green sequined floor length Marc Jacobs dress, enlivened by matching sparkling eyeshadow. Yet another recent example of a frequently exposed young lady who covers up and still looks gorgeous. Thanks for keeping it cute and classy, Miley!
Zoe Kravitz looked super svelte in an Alexander Wang ensemble, comprised of a black croc crop top and flowing skirt. Get into those abs! She looked gorgeous.
I hope to be even a fraction as fly as Iris Apfel in my elder years.
Buxom model Kate Upton showed off her enviable frame in a close fit knit dress and chunky wedges. Kate is hot! But those shoes get a hmmm…you win some, you lose some!
Doutzen Kroes got it right in a Missoni Pre-Fall 2013 long black mesh dress with an open back slip.
No surprises here: Joan Smalls consistently slays! She opted for an optic white jumpsuit anchored by Tom Ford lace up sandals. Yes, Joan!
A jumpsuit was also the sartorial choice for editrix Carine Roitfeld, who accepted the night’s media award. Flawless execution, yet again.
I’ll never get the hype over Alexa Chung, though she cut a fine form in a Christoper Kane suit.
Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo kept it spunky in punchy gold Stella McCartney separates, including the brand’s (sold out) metallic sweatshirt and lurex track pants. She is one of the flyest women in the industry!
Harper’s Bazaar Editor-in-Chief , Glenda Bailey, embraced fabulous feathers in a Dries Van Noten Fall 2013 dress.
Model Sara Blomqvist smoldered in a Christopher Kane floral and tulle frock.
Designer Marc Jacobs was in the building, and posed with Sofia Coppola on the carpet.
Designers tend to keep it simple! To whit, Phillip Lim’s black and white tones and well tailored two piece.
Karlie Kloss looked darling in a black shirt and embellished pencil skirt.
I didn’t know who American investor, former hedge fund manager, and socialite Julie Macklowe was before I saw this picture, but her Tom Ford Fall 2013 ‘zebra’ dress motivated me to do a quick search. Both Rihanna and Marjorie Harvey have been spied in this dress. Who wore it best?
Lastly, Queen Mother Aretha Franklin lent her vocal talents to the event, and posed with Clive Davis in a church ready white skirt suit.
There you have it!
Who do you think was best dressed?
