If you’re like me and are constantly scouring the blogosphere for one-of-a-kind pieces at bank account friendly prices, look no further than The Cuveitier’s Closet, better known as The CC. From a vintage Perry Ellis leopard print pencil skirt and funky sunglasses out the yin-yang to vintage designer wares (Escada and Chanel to name a few), The CC’s founder, La’Vonne Alexis (pictured at bottom), has been dead set on bringing “fashion and style to the masses everyday” at an unbeatable cost. And because of her finds being so unique, you’re guaranteed to stand out and be set apart from the crowd.
The buck doesn’t stop there, however. La’Vonne Alexis (Bahamian born, Miami based) is an accessories designer in her own right. Her line, Cute Confections, usually shown on the runways during Miami Fashion Swim Week, offers an astounding array of unique hand made pieces – from bungee cord tribal necklaces to gem encrusted earrings and bracelets – also sold on her website. I bet you won’t be able to find a “Baha Charm Bracelet” (featuring Bahamian coins) anywhere else.
The website also features a blog, highlighting current and upcoming trends, and a consignment corner.
At any rate, there are more than a few pieces I absolutely love, from the Grace Jones Beast Tee ($24) to the Vogue Snapback ($68):
