Leave it to Moschino to add some fun to the seriousness of Fashion Week–the brand did just that with the Spring 2014 collection for its Cheap and Chic brand. A clear nod to the season with a vacation-ready vibe, the buoyant designs and detailing were standout: perfect for every occasion from poolside romps to high-fashion bashes.
The color palette was electric and girly with neons and pink hues galore. Retro-inspired round glasses, jewel-encrusted wedge sandals, red lips, and sleek chignons added a dose of polish, completing the looks perfectly.
Feathers adorned everything from the hems of dresses to point-toe pumps, adding a fun flair to the pieces as well as a bit of a naughty “come hither” vibe.
Prints, kitschy graphics, and girlish detailing really anchored the collection from popular peplum to “Muse” and “Party” being sprinkled on tees and handbags for good measure. I definitely intend to buy into the latter: what’s not to love about pairing a graphic tee with everything from skinnies to your favorite pencil skirt?
