For her Spring 2014 collection, Holly Fulton pulled inspiration from ’70s British pop-based star Noosha Fox. The stylish decade was definitely palpable with side-swept voluminous curls, Swedish Hasbeens sandals, and prints galore. The designs were crisp and youthful, with a vibrant color palette high on lively shades and low on neutrals.
Pleated strapless frocks, printed shirtdresses, and long retro-inspired coats really were quite sophisticated and could draw in an older set of sartorially-savvy women.
Cork really provided the “wow” factor and acted like eyelet on bomber jackets, calf-length dresses, sheer tops, and barely-there crop tops: actually giving the latter trend a really cool spin worth investing in.
The looks that hooked me were those that were on the more eccentric side: bright pops of color and fringe will certainly make a statement on the red carpet, though they could also uplift a mundane ensemble like a white t-shirt and skinny jeans.
